I'm traveling budget and want to stay around central Bangkok. I'm currently concidering spending more money on a hotel near the airport and the next morning busing it into the guest house districts. If its not too much of a hassle to get a taxi and find a room then I would have no problem getting a cheaper room within the center city.

We are considering going to Japan on holiday with the family. There would be 2 adults 2 children (6 and 9 years old). we would probably go fro 14 days and visit Tokyo and Kyoto. We would want to do a few children based things as well as gardens, shrines etc. We would not have a problem finding places to go and that would be a question further down the road. My question is whether it is "children friendly" in hotels and restuarants? Whether the trains/metro is practical for families with young children? I think you know where I am coming from.... Thanks

Matt

I've found a few places listed for this such as the 'Epic Room' at the Fairmont Royal York, Old Mill Tea Room at the Old Mill Inn, Winsor Arms Hotel (Thomas Street), Grenadier Cafe-Parkside Dr.), The Village Tea Room (Scarborough) and Red Tea Box (Queen St. West), and have checked everything, but can't find many reviews for them...has anyone been to these and what is your opinion of them? (Heard everything great re Fairmont and mixed reviews re Red Tea Box). Taking a few 'older' classy ladies and want them to enjoy their afternoon tea! Thanks!
