If you are a UK citizen, no visa is required assuming you have a valid UK passport. Once you arrive, the visa waver is good for up to a 90 day stay. As another poster said, you will not be able to work, coming in on a visa waver is simply a 90 day holiday pass

It depends what country you're from. Canadians don't need visas, but I think most others do. check at a US embassy in your country.
I have spent summers in Florida and they are very hot and humid. I enjoy that kind of heat, but if you don't, think about postponing your trip for a month or two. Hurricane season would be over then too.
This link might help you. Best of luck.

You didn't say when, when is? I am a Florida native and it can be very hot and humid if you are not used to that climate. The best time to visit Florida is from November through March for the best climate conditions. It doesn't start to really cool off here until November.

Yes, probably. Check the Department of State for more specific information.
Florida is hot and humid during the summer, and pretty nice most of the rest of the year - until a hurricane comes along...

NO. Not if you're going for 90 days or less and you don't intend to work. And I'm presuming you'll be travelling on a British passport or most European passports. Check out this site.
