Thinking about moving to Eugene, Oregon. A friend says its run down, is it?

Eugene is a wonderful city to live in or near.
I was there this week, and I visit every 2-3 months. I also lived in the area for 25 years. It's lovely, laid back, has a lot to offer in so many ways. Sure, parts of it are run down, like any other city, but overall it isn't at all. Visit it and see what you think!

Haven't been through there for a couple years, but it was certainly nice enough when I was there. Like other western Oregon and Washington places, some places can look a little weatherbeaten from all the rain.
