Im moving to Arizona soon, and im looking into buying a truck before i go, But i heard that in Arizona and desert places like it, Dark Colored cars and trucks are bad, they will fade and hot hott, is this true??

Im was just wonderign because my father and the agent both tried to persuade me that im old enough to fly alone and was not consider a minor... but when i look up continental airlines. they still consider 15 and under minors! so woould they let it pass since its about a month til my birthday? because my dad didnt pay for the unaccompanied minor.... and im just wondering...
