where is the best place to go in europe to get good deals on good clothes, luggage, jewelry etc..?? I am wondering if there is a place that has such a thing as hong kong with there very discount prices on goods

The best deals I found were open air markets in Amsterdam, which also has very fine diamonds. Denmark has good prices on furs and handmade sweaters etc. and Italy has some great things in open air markets but, I would not suggest buying name pocketbooks etc. at them. Europe is very expensive as previously stated but, if you look you'll find.

I think you are going to be shocked--clothes , luggage and jewelry while very high quality and very expensive even in department stores....I think the word discount was invented in the USA

no, everything in Europe cost alot. Unless U go to the fleamarket, and who needs that crap. I only buy what I can't get here, but there is always the Internet.
