What soem safe alternatives to flying out of the country other than using major airports and commerical airlines? Can anybody explain how this can be done?

You can charter an aircraft even from small airports, but this is like buying a very expensive ticket. However, you have to be aware that some countries put restrictions on what airports you can land in or out of, depending on the immigration laws of the country and the availability of immigration and customs services at the airport.
People who work at crago airlines may also be able to travel on the cargo flights after getting permission from concerned authorities. Military personnel also can fly on military flights even for personal reasons, provided they arrange that with their air force.
