I haven't lost mine or anything, but I hear it really ruins a trip quickly if you lose your passport. What did you have to do to replace it?

I am going to be moving to Russia in 2007. My husband is Russian and I am wondering how difficult it will be to get the papers to live perminately? Also are there any other women out there who moved to Russia because of marriage? Particularly Canadian?

I'm a bit overwhelmed with the prospect of having to choose an affordable (yet decent) hotel in or near San Francisco. I'm looking for the following: $150 range, national chain like Holiday Inn, Doubletree, Hilton, Hampton, Embassy Suites, etc., free parking (I'll have a rental car but don't plan on using while in SF) and access to BART/trolleys (not sure how all of that works yet). A nice view of course is a plus but for $150, that may not be an option. I'm ok with staying in East Bay (maybe Berkeley) or south of SF as long as there's a means of public transportation to and from SF.

Now, if anyone needs help with a hotel in Orlando, I know just the place -- Animal Kingdom Lodge without a doubt!

I'm trying to pack light, and I've squeezed everything I need into a backpack. I suspect the backpack will be too heavy to be carry on luggage. Do you think it is safe to check in my backpack? Will it get lost? It's a slightly bigger than usual L.L. Bean backpack. Should I just pack everything into a huge suitcase instead?

I'm taking a cruise in 6 weeks and one of the stops is Cozumel. Any tips or suggestions from someone that has been there?

If you have taken a cruise that stopped in Cozumel, is the shopping close to the piers or do you have to take a taxi?

I will travel to these two countries late August. I have 8 days to spend and I want to see Sarajevo, Mostar, Dubrovnik, Split and Plitvica (lakes). Bu I am not certain where to stay longest and wander around most. I plan to have cultural / photo hunt type of trip bu t would like to enjoy some sea and sun also...

Oh and I fuzzily remember about an international theater festival in Dubrovnik in summer. Will it be around about that time?

My fiancee and I will probably be going to Japan soon. Do you have any experience visiting/living in Japan? What is the weather like? What social norms are different from the West? How do the Japanese people treat Americans? Any food dishes we should try...or avoid??

Me: Chris. I am gay. I recently left prison. I am re-beginning my life. I access the internet at the libraries and internet cafe. As for money, I do small jobs like helping people move and cleaning apartments. I go to an outpatient drug program because I am an alcoholic. I also attend daily AA meetings too. I have a sponsor. I live in a shelter out in Brooklyn. That way I will get good housing. I am on welfare because it is a must for people to get thier lives in order. I need that so I can get help with a job, home and school. In fact, they put me in the outpatient program. So I am about doing what I am supposed to do. It's about submitting to the system to get a better life. Go to my blog at http://Chris-NYC.blogspot.com to read my daily life.

We have been to Disney World so many times, but you just cannot eat every where. I am not looking for a dinner place, but a good place to get myself and three year old a good lunch. Hamburgers are just fine, but they seem all different in Disney. We will be in Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Any good suggestions? Thanks a bunch.

My husband has the chance to take a position in Saudi.I just wanted some more up to date information.
I know its strict and the culture is very different, I have no problem with having to wear an abiya or what ever the name is of the clothing women have to wear, at least out of the compound.
I am interested in hearing from those who live or have lived there .
Any information would be gratefully received
