As a legal US resident you may travel to Switzerland without an extra visa.

So you are lucky - you may stay up to three months (but not work here, of course).

Greetings from Switzerland

sure you do any a Visa for swtizerland in view that they don't look to be part of the Shenghen visa.. in case you fly notwithstanding from Germany to italy by switzerland you dont as lengthy that you dont go away the airport Swiss visa shouldnt be demanding to get in case you've already got a shenghen visa i'd propose you call your nearest Swiss embassy or consulate chuffed Travels

I think you would need a Transit Visa.

not unless you stop in switz. but if you stay within the train station, even if you stop to change trains, you do not need to. only if you leave the station to go out onto the street.
