Yea. Probably you need to take a walk a bit to nearby restaurants.
But I think this hotel is not bad.

Asuka hotel

(Japanese only)

There is another hotel near Asuka hotel.
Hotel Rose Garden is more convinient. Subway station, Nishi-Shinjuku, is within spitting distance.
And you can take a taxi to the limousine bus station(Shinjuku) with the base fare.

Not sure abt Asuka hotel, but i stayed at a hotel in Shinjuku. There's loads of food places along the Shinjuku stretch. Especially check out the food supermarkets at the basements of most of the shopping centres (Isetan, Takashimaya etc) - there's too much to choose from!

Never stayed in Asuka Hotel but I know there will be plenty to eat just walking distance from your hotel if it's in Shinjuku.
I'm guessing you're planning on using the train and subway system and not just cab rides.

I guarantee there's some place to eat between Shinjuku Station and your hotel whether it's fast food, authentic Japanese restaurants, 7-11s and other mini marts, noodle huts, Italian etc.

As I'm sure it's walking distance from Kabuki-cho, the night life should be great as well. Have fun!!!
