Do people live there for long periods of time??

I have a bad fear of flying, so I have been thinking of going by boat instead. I've looked on the net but can't find much on it, so just wondering if anyone on here has travelled this way & if it costs more than a plane flight? Also, how long would it take to say go from UK to Mauritius?

I wear glasses and will be snorkeling for the first time next month. Because I do not know anything about snorkeling, I would appreciate any suggestions on what to do since I wear glasses (cannot wear contacts) and want to enjoy my snorkeling experience to the fullest (and do not see well without my glasses).

Hello - If anyone could help me, I would really appreciate it. I am from San Diego, CA but will be making a business trip to different cities near the Atlanta area. I am trying to decide in which city I should book my hotel.
I will be in the following cities for these # of days - Smyrna 1, Marietta 1, Norcross 1, Roswell 1, Alpharetta 3, Duluth 1, Lawrenceville 1. So for these 9 business days and 4 weekend days, I would like to stay in one hotel in one city. Does anyone have any advice as to which city I should stay in? After these cities, I will need to go to Macon for 1 day and Augusta for 1 day.
