I wear glasses and will be snorkeling for the first time next month. Because I do not know anything about snorkeling, I would appreciate any suggestions on what to do since I wear glasses (cannot wear contacts) and want to enjoy my snorkeling experience to the fullest (and do not see well without my glasses).

Yes you can, my husband had the same question when we took our cruise. The mask made for snorkeling is big enough for a persons eyeglasses to fit underneath. Go and have fun! :-)

my friend .. i see you in a rut. the reason why i dont think u can wear glasses while snorkeling is only because the straps of the goggles are real tight and not only are your glasses gonna be crooked they'll probably hurt you since the pressure from the rubber of the strap has to be real tight so no water goes into your goggles.

personally i went snorkeling for the first time this year; however i wear contacts and it was fine like that. sorry i couldnt give you any good news but im just trying to inform you :)

Yes you can. I have done so myself. I wear contact lenses, however I prefer glasses when in the water as I always worry about loosing the lenses.

The thinner and smaller the ear pieces, the better as large, thick ones create a leak path in to the mask.

Make sure you take the glasses you plan to wear with you when you shop for the mask. You want to make sure they will fit inside the mask and not be too uncomfortable.

If you are going to do a lot of snorkeling, you can get a mask that is custom made with your prescription.

yes u can wear glasses as long as they can fit to ur face mask. Sometimes you dont need to wear them because the water amp's up the vision rate. also there are perscription dive maskes that are commen at snorkling stores. You'll have a great time! But also the size of the frame depends because it goes around your ears and the mask cant make a seal around your face to keep out water
