You can go to Discovery Cruise Lines at discoverycruise.com. You can take a one day cruise or buy a package for 3 or more nights. I went on this cruise line when I went to the Bahamas for my honeymoon 2 years ago. The locals there are very friendly, and the island is very safe for tourist. There is also a Winn Dixie so you can buy your food there, but they are more expensive because everything is imported. And they have American restaurants (like Subway, McDonalds, Burger King...etc) as well as Native restaurants. You get on the ship in Fort Lauderdale and go straight to Freeport, Bahamas. They have a lot of fun activities to do and the food was great. And the best part is that you spend your vacation on the island, not a cruise liner. I hope you have a nice trip!

I just got back from a trip to Jamaica. Didn't go through any agencies. Flight from Orlando to Kingston inc. tax was under $250 USD and still is. Miami is about $50 cheaper if you can get there.
You can get pretty much anywhere in the island in a few hours by taxi and it is so beautiful, the people are great, and if you stay away from the all inclusive stuff it is really cheap. The locals are proud and knowledgeable about their country and its attractions.

bahamas - Paradise island..but don't stay in Atlantis, stay next door at the RIU is a spanish chain - all inclusive. They tend to have good deals and Atlantis is across the street. You will have access to atlantis ammenities without the price tag.
For airfare, try Spirit Airlines. They always have good deals. I bought my tickets for $9 dollars each way (nine dollars!).
-Enjoy I had the best time!

Spirit Airlines has been running a lot of specials from the US to the Carribbean lately. It's low season down here right now since it's also hurricane season. A lot of hotels are running specials, so check out expedia or orbitz or call a property directly.

The summer is the best time to go and there are many options on the various websites. Probably the best deals are all inclusive deals to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

I went to Punta Cana Dominican Republic in April and had a blast. I went to an all inclusive called Occidental Flamingo. Very nice, and would go back again.

first note that booking all aspects of your vacation YOURSELF, directly with the companies you choose to use, i.e. flights, hotels, and car rentals, will save you a lot of $$$. using sites like travelocity and trip advisor are good starting points to find candid reviews (ta) and lowest ADVERTISED rates (travocity) i have been booking our Caribbean trips myself for that 6 years, between doing this and traveling off season i was easily able to extend our 9 day trips into 20 vacations. PUERTO RICO offers the most affordable Caribbean vacation possible. it is not only beautiful, you will find something, and some place for everyones interests. do not be fooled into believing all there is in PUERTO RICO is SAN JUAN, because overall SAN JUAN has the least to offer. happy and safe travels.

If you want a cruise there Costco has good cruise deals. Honestly though, cruises are very boring. Try browsing the internet.
