I know that the people who are hunting deer have to have a licence or permit, but what if someone else wanted to go along one day to watch, not hunt, would they have to have a licence too?

Out of all your rifles that still have a stock unworked trigger, which one do you like best?
I know it's going to sound a bit odd, but out of everything I have, the trigger on my 1942 Schmidt Rubin K31 has the sweetest, crisp, no creep trigger of any rifle I've ever handled.
What's yours?

Out of all your pistols that still have an unworked, stock trigger, which one do you like best? I really like the trigger on my CZ 75, but I love the trigger on my latest RIA 1911. One of my older made in Italy Beretta 92F's has a factory trigger that breaks at 3.5 pounds!

I think i want to start reloading my ammunition but i have a few questions before i start. Does reloading ammo yourself decrease the quality of bullets or is it the same? What are the differences from the ones you buy in a single cartridge and the ones you reload youself? How do you know when you have engouh powder in the shell? Thanks. I'm going to stick with federal hydrashock for my carry though. I'm not reloading that.

Being a gun collector and facinated with building things I've become interested in building my own firearm. I've found plans for a WW2 Sten gun but am unclear on the laws.

Having read the answer on the ATF website
http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#a6
It says that it is legal provided it don't fall into an NFA category (no silencer, 16" + rifled barrel, not full auto, etc) and you don't sell it to anyone.
And reading a machinist making his own guns; http://www.homebuiltfirearms.com/ and companies that sell 10% and 80% receivers for 1911's and AK-47's without needing FFL transfers, I know its legal. But is it as simple as that? Make your own gun, just don't sell it and make sure it meets the requirements?

Also I wouldn't be making an actual Sten. My plans so far would be to replicate a Ruger 10/22 but moving things around and changing the shape of the bolt to resemble a Sten.

Thanks

What's the minimum legal caliber that you can hunt deer with in your state? Rifle, Shotgun, Handgun?

And would you reccomend a S&W 686 for deer hunting?

Me and a friend were talking about our recent hunting trips, and he used the word "rags" during our conversation. I figured he was talking about "tags" for animals that are in season, but I'm not sure. I never got around to asking him what he meant, so I figured
I'd ask your guys! thanks in advance.

I play some videogames liek counter-striek and etc. How do you reload a fire weapon.

How do you get the magazine out? is there a button to press... or what .

2nd Q : Do you always need to pull back the bolt (cock it )
PS: In the movies, the good guy eventualyl catches up with the bad guy who has a hostage or something. And then the good guy tells the mean guy to drop his gun. Then ( heres what i want to know a bout) , he cocks back his gun , he charges the bolt back.

Is it only to show he's more serious? Is it just a hollywood thing or is there a performance purpose?

Is the muzzle velocity of .38 special too slow to get adequate penetration? My friend is handicapped and cannot hunt with a long gun. He has a .38 special revolver but because of his handicap he cannot handle a cartridge any more powerful.

My boyfriend loves to go hunting but is always borowing riffles from friends. This christmas I wanted to gift him a rifle of his own but i have no clue where to start. I visited a couple of stores and noone who works there knows anything about the guns. They just start reading about each gun on the spot which I guess is a way to start. I don't want to go to his friends for help because those guys can't keep their mouths shut, they'll ruin the surprise. Does anyone have any ideas?

We have our choice as long as we qualify with the weapon. The Glock can hold more rounds and can be reloaded faster. But the S&W model 10 is an old standby. The S&W model 10 in .38 special seems to be more accurate. Which would you choose? You can only carry one. We do not have the option of carrying a different gun other than these 2 so no answers like "I'd carry a 1911 in .45ACP". Our firm only lets us decide between these 2 firearms.

I need to know the value of a few shotguns. The first is a Breda semi-auto model 610 20ga
The second is Ithica pump model 37 20ga
The third is a Savage 24b over/under 22lr 20ga 3inch
Any info on the Breda would be helpful.

I want to buy a .40 caliber pistol for target shooting. There are so many different ones available it is difficult to decide. Factors that are important to me: low recoil, compact size, magazine capacity and price. Could you please recommend a pistol? could you also give me a price you believe I will pay for your recommendation? thank you in advance.
