I know the AS version does not have a saftey....what about the QA version? Which trigger do you prefer?

I prefer the QA version. There are no safeties but the dec0cker on the slide.(on both models). The the trigger on the QA has a lighter and shorter pull to me. I however do not like the new models though. The one my buddy owned was pre Smith and Wesson. The changed the length of the mag release and when I hold and shoot I release the mag on the newer ones.

The only thing that changes is the trigger, the internal safeties are the same, and so is the de-cocker. My 99 QA was awesome (.40).The trigger is really sweet!
