Out of all your pistols that still have an unworked, stock trigger, which one do you like best? I really like the trigger on my CZ 75, but I love the trigger on my latest RIA 1911. One of my older made in Italy Beretta 92F's has a factory trigger that breaks at 3.5 pounds!

I used to have a Ruger MKII with a 10 inch barrel and their factory target trigger. It wasn't perfect - had a little creep (or slop) but once that was gone the crispness of the break was wonderful. Also had a Ruger Super Redhawk and on SA it was much better than I was expecting. I never scaled it to find out how many pounds it was, but the tightness of the groups on paper always made me smile.

Since others have included revolvers, I'd have to say my S&W 686 has the best trigger on any of my handguns (when shot single action). My dad has a Taurus 689VR that has a trigger that rivals the Smith. When you get to the worst trigger you've ever shot, we'll discuss my buddy's Hi-Point .380.

Like I said in an earlier question, my friend had a Walther P99 QA. The break had to be 5 lbs or so. That to me was the best trigger I ever felt. My XDs are good but I like that 99.

My Kimber 1911. But a CZ-75B SA 9mm tha I owned would come in close second (The CZ uses the trigger pull to operate the firing pin release as opposed to what Kimber does). CZ should have kept the old design.

Colt Python, the double action has a 3 pound trigger. Second choice would be my FN FNP40 it just has a really smooth trigger pull in both double and single action.

I can't say for certain that it is factory stock since I bought it used 30 years ago, but I'd have to say that my old Charter Arms Bulldog has the lightest, smoothest DA trigger pull of any stock revolver I own.

Not even close. My old M29 Smith and Wesson has the best out of the box trigger I have ever shot. Very crisp.
