You can all say the Yankees suck and say whatever you want. But think of this: How many franchises can say they are having a terrible year and STILL make the playoffs? Yankees haven't missed the playoffs since the strike year when there were no playoffs. Can any other team make the claim?

I guess this would be more of a rhetorical question but I think it's funny how everyone says the Yankees are terrible and they will still make the playoffs.

Turn the team over to you? Pick a fight? Resign? Call up the Double A team?

Red Sox lover posted a question earlier but I wanted to add details, but couldn't. My last thought was to answer to the Red Sox fan who responded about how most Yankee fans haven't seen most of the 26 World Series titles, well I have seen the titles in 1977, 1978, 1996, 1998, 1999 & 2000, well that is 6 titles & how titles have you seen your Red Sox win in that same time period? One. Some Red Sox fans will say the above mentioned about most fans didn't see the 26 titles & some Yankees fans will say they have won the most titles. This will go on til the end of time. I will always cheer my Yankees & you Red Sox fans will cheer for your team. The rivalry will never die.

Yes the Yankees have beat the Sox twice in a row but, the last time I checked, they are 6 games back and are in 2nd place. It would seem that the first place Red Sox are still just that. The Yankees have closed the gap to 4 games and then back to 8. I would not be so cocky and sure about yourselves. Also, to all you Yankee fans that complain that us Red Sox fans keep reminding you that you will still be 5 games back even if there is a sweep, what about all the Yankee fans that remind us that the Yankees have won 26 rings? I had thought that I was having fun in Answers until I started reading all the bashing going on and now I don't answer so many questions because a lot of the good natured fun is missing. Oh well, my problem not yours.
I am so glad I found Sawxheads.com where I can be with more crazy people like me..lol.. Check it out Red Sox fans, you will love it!

Cashmen and Company need to trade them, designate them for assignment or release them on waivers!! Not sure about the no trade clause if any of them have it in their contract.

I have no clue what is up with him. He is 0-6 with an ERA over 8 in his last 7 starts. That is not the Bonderman I know and love.

He needs to go like at least 6 decent innings to give My Boys a chance to win. This bleeding has to stop NOW!
(yikes, do I sound like a yankee fan with all my insistent babbling?)

back in the day we used to pack a lunch - a couple of sandwiches and some water & cold drinks into a cooler and bring them to the ballpark. it saved money, was tastier and now they won't let you bring the stuff in - like i'm gonna put a bomb in my sandwich ??

I love the Mariners but I could never stand Freddy Garcia (while he was in Seattle anyways). That creaky pause-pitch delivery drove me nuts, and he seemingly couldn't win the big games for Seattle. Don't really have such feelings for anyone in Seattle anymore.

What's your story?

but they're ok with Giambi after he "apologized"

Both are crooks and both put up monster numbers using steroids AT THE SAME PERIOD OF TIME and Giambi deserves as much negative press as Bonds in my opinion...I can't believe people are sympathetic to Giambi and give him the benefit of the doubt...its ridiculous!

They say "he took them when they weren't banned or tested for or weren't illegal"...well I agree that he and Bonds weren't the only one but he is one of the bigger stars in the mid to late 90s and early 2000s and deserves as much crap that bonds gets. most of the people are "Bonds took steroids, PERIOD" but yet they give out excuse after excuse for Giambi!

And another excuse i hear all the time is "oh Giambi didn't break any records so im ok"...Wtf??? thats unacceptable for me...isnt he like top 75 home run hitters of all time or something?

So just because Giambi didn't break any records, people are ok with him???

So far I haven't heard a single Justified reason. So what the Red Sox won in 2004, in 2006 the Yankees had a 5 game sweep on the Red Sox which ruined their season. Last time I checked 26 is bigger than 6. And you know what, it won't be 86 years before the next Yankee Championship. Yankees have one bad year and Red Sox fans acting like they always been like this. I guess the Red Sox being in first place is new for Boston fans.
