Hey everyone chill out - remember that younger people don't automatically know changes in everyday life - I still have to explain to people under 20 about 45s (a side and b side)...
Yes, they used to use movie cameras to record events. Because Babe Ruth was such a legendary figure, I believe everyone of his at bats were filmed when possible. Even though there was no television, they would send the most memorable footage for newsreels, which they showed before movies at the theatres.
Later in the 50s and 60s even local television news stations used movie cameras to record certain major events. However, because of the cost, not everything was filmed, unlike today.

Believe it or not, they actually had MOVIE CAMERAS back then! I know, it's shocking, but life is like that. Try googling 'the history of moving pictures' and then gaze in awe at the wealth of information and history contained in the search results. And guess what: they actually had cold beer and cars back then too! Doubly-amazing, HUH???

It's all a hoax perpetrated by the same people who faked the moon landings, 9/11 and Arnold Schwartzenegger.

They had movie cameras...they also had electricity, indoor plumbing and toilet paper. Have you ever seen Charlie Chaplin from the 20's on film?
