Time Travel back to the early 90's.

I collected when I was a kid. I used to buy a wax box of topps or donruss for 15 bucks.
I remember my first box of 1989 Upper Deck. 25 bucks. 15 cards a pack, 36 packs a box. Back then you got alot of cards for your money! I stopped buying cards in 1994.

So just a few months ago, I went to wal mart and looked at the baseball cards. I picked up a box of Upper Deck. 20 bucks.
5 cards a pack. 10 packs a box. I bought it and opened the cards. I was so disappointed. I got 50 cards, and nothing special.

I remember when a box of cards would keep me busy for hours. Looking for stars, sorting them out. When you get 500 cards, its alot more fun than getting 50.

I don't think there are cheap cards anymore.

Patrick, just because it is a Mickey Mantle card, shouldn't assume it may be worth $100. I have about 15 of his cards & they are from the 2007 baseball card sets & may be worth $3-$10 each. Where in Va do you live? Try a local baseball card shop, maybe they will buy them

Any pack of Upper Deck product.

Or did you mean "inexpensive"? In that case, UD won't help.
