He admitted he took steroids during his prime years when he was jacking up 30-40 HRs a year in Oakland...why isn't he suspended

also, does that mean all the numbers he put up will be removed from the books...isn't he on the top 500 Home run hitters of all time list?

are they gonna take away the AL MVP they gave him?

why are people sympathetic dealing with Giambi!

Finally some good news for the Astros! They fired Purpura and Garner! I was happy that Purpura got fired but I also thought that Garner was a decent manager, he did take a team with good pitching and crappy hitting to the world series. Anyway, Cecil Cooper will do good. Thanks Uncle Drayton! You made my day! So how do you feel about the firings?

suspend him after he admitted to taking steroids when he was with the Oakland A's and with the Yankees early in his Yankee career from 2002-2003. This guy is the Incredible Shrinking Man and is a fraud. The Yankees should've cut him and tried to re-coup the millions upon millions they paid to this idiot roider. He's making 23 million this year and has 12 HR's, that's like 2 million for every home run. 20 average people won't make 23 million in 2 lifetimes. This is a joke, and MLB is a joke and all you fans who pay to go to games are a joke and pay for hats, merch, etc, you are all jokes. The $8 beers you buy, the $5 hot dogs, you are all jokes. You are paying for this roiders salaries. As soon as the Yankees and Selig found out that Giambi had taken roids with the A's and it was because of his awesome artificial roid numbers that he put up, he got that huge 160 million contract for 8 years with the Yankees, they should've been able to void that and re-coup the money. But

I want to know how much this card is worth, here are the details: It has 1981 Highlight printed on it with the words "topps" in the bottom right corner. Along the bottom of the front of the card is printed "Pete Rose - Sets NL Career Mark for Hits." On the back it is printed in a landscape format. It says on the top left corner "topps 4" and to the right of it says "Pete Rose Smashes NL Record with 3,631st Hit." Then has some details about him and at the bottom it has this "F * C 1982 Topps Chewing Gum Inc. PRTD in USA."

What are the possiblities of this happening? He almost has the pitching triple crown and plays on a team that has a great chance of making the playoffs. And if he wouldn't win MVP then who do you think should?

I mean more in depth information than the basic hits, earned runs, strikeouts etc. Information like how often he was ahead in the count, what types of pitches he threw, speeds, locations, what types of pitches were effective, what kinds weren't, etc.

Do you think Joba Chamberlain should take over Mike Mussina's spot in the rotation for the remainder of the season. And I've noticed that Mussina is good for only a couple of innings then tires off and then allows so many runs. And besides, Joba was a starter before he called up. YThey just didn't want to hurt his golden arm. Umm...... Mr. Cashman, he's fine! Let him Spot start and if he does well let him stay in the rotation.

The State of NY has outlawed aluminum bats for high school players. Their reasoning to me is sound. The ball comes off the bat harder and faster. I think they should be outlawed in little league games. The funny part is you can look like a Behemoth with an Aluminum bat and a Mendoza line hitter with wood. ESPN has a story on it. read it and comment

I'll be in Chicago Sept 21, so I was thinking of catching a Cub game, but I've never been in Wrigley Field before.

What do you think of these seats?
Section 218, Row 8
Section 219, Row 8

The tickets for the first two (sections 218 and 219 both say limited view) I have a bad feeling they are going to be behind the support columns.

Which are the best seats? Or should I pass on these two tickets and look for others?

Gotta be Dock Ellis. Who else do you know who would wear hair curlers to practice, trip acid and throw a no-hitter and throw a bat into the stands at a heckler?

But the clincher has to be in 1974, when Dock felt like his teammates were playing too timid and needed inspiration and announced before a game against the Reds, "We gonna get down. We gonna do the do. I'm going to hit these mother****ers." What followed was Ellis beaning Pete Rose, Joe Morgan and Dan Driessen, almost hitting Tony Perez on 4 straight pitches to walk a run home then throwing two pitches at Johnny Bench's head before he was yanked from the game.
Ellis said later, "I tried to deck him twice. I threw at his jaw, and he moved. I threw at the back of his head, and he moved."
