The Angels would clearly become the World Series favorite in 2008 if they got A-Rod.

Of course it would but I don't think they should drop 30 mil a year on him. Remember we have had some key injuries this year and have made it this far on the team right now. I would say it would be better to look at other options this offseason. We could get 2 good players for the same price as A-Rod. but we will have to wait and see how this plays out.

this will not ever happen ! I don't think anyone, is worth 20-35 million dollars... let's just say the Angels do make a run at Arod. ( which they won't ) Vladmir's contract is up after the 2008 season. And Arod is on the Halos, what do you think
Vladmir & his agent will be asking for.... ( for all you nuckle heads that don't get it )
$$$$$$$$$$, I don't see the halos
paying 2 players each over 20-35 million.
Don't get me wrong Arod is a good player ? But in the post season, He SUCKS

I still take Big Daddy Vladdy. Any time on my team.

Go Halos

It's possible, BUT the Angels GM said quote, 'Its not smart business to pay one player 30 - 35 million dollars.'

If the Angels or the Red Sox had A-Rod they would be unstoppable, and as a Yankee fan I would be MORE afraid then I already am of the two teams.

first of all, there is no wat that the angles would ever trade vlad especially not for a contract like a rods and second of course a-rod would make them better he is the best player in the league a rod would make any team better he wont always be a post season bust i think getting out of new york and to a different contender would ease the pressure especially after the first year-- l.a. dodgers?

I don't think A-Rod will be leaving New York. Urstruly, you can't compare the Johnny Damon leaving Boston to come to New York & A-Rod going to Boston(not going to happen). They aren't even the same caliber players. A-Rod is way better than Damon even though Damon is a good player.

Obviously, if he signed that team would be absolutely ridiculous, but really that's like saying "Would LeBron James make the Denver Nuggets better?" And to that first guy that doesn't know anything about whats going on in baseball, A-Rod is going to be a free agent.

Of course it would. He would make any team better. Especially the Angels! Except I have a good feeling he is staying in New York...with the Yankees.

I think he could sing some inspirational songs that would help the Angels. Or maybe he could get them all pumped up by singing "Eye of the Tiger" or something off Jock Jams.

Nope because A-Rod doesn't have what it takes too lead a team or make them a winner. Last time he was in the playoffs he choked!
