First, a clarification: nobody "goes into" the Hall as a member of any team - every team they played for will get listed on the plaque equally.

What you really mean to ask is "do they get to choose which team logo is shown on their cap on the plaque?" And the answer is "sort of". They will usually say what logo they want and the Hall will usually go along with it, but the Hall has official final say. This is primarily so that players won't try to trade that for some sort of consideration from the team (as Wade Boggs was alleged to have done with the Devil Rays) and so that the player will be shown with the logo of the team he is most closely associated.

No they don't. The team they go under is decided by the stats they put up for each team they played for and how many years they played for that team. That is why there has been so much discussion over which team Roger Clemens will go under when he gets voted into the Hall. Most Yankee fans want him in as a Yankee, but he has played much longer and accumulated more wins with the Red Sox.

Who decides what team logo will be used on Hall of Fame plaques?
The choice of which team’s logo appears on a player’s plaque is the Museum's decision, though we always consider the wishes of an inductee. As a history Museum, it's important that the logo be emblematic of the historical accomplishments of that player's career. A player's election to the Hall of Fame is a career achievement, and as such, every team for whom he played is listed on the plaque; however, the logo selection is based on where that player makes his most indelible mark.

A player can express his wishes of what team he would like to go in under, however there is a committee that makes the final decision. (taking the players wishes into consideration)

Yes. But I believe they are minimum requirements they must hav eplayed with one team.

Like for example if Derek Jeter plays 8 more years with the yankees and then 1 final season with another team, i believe he would still go in as a Yankee. ...but other then that.. they get to choose.
