Every time I bring up video people, on this site, get all in a bunch. Books are better than video I get. My question is what makes a book soooo much better than a video. For me I tend to learn better when I can see the action along with the word. Explain how books far excede the video in martial arts. To add I am talking about skill of technique and the like not history or kata, but even with kata I think a video would be so much better than books. Yes I know instruction with a real person is best. I know I'll get several about going to a real instructor. Just keeping topic on video vs. book.

I am meeting Walter on January 1st.

i am pretty excited, him and my dad know each other because my dad was really good friends with Wayne growing up.

it is actually a public meet, BUT my best friends sister works at the store, and we get to stay behind and talk to him and stuff.

if anyone wants anything autographed, just message me, we can work something out.

btw, Wayne isn't going to be there obviously, only Walter.

i am 23 years old, i have the athletic type of body just not in shape right moment. i am trying to transition from driving my car to possibly riding a bicycle to work every day. It is about 11 miles away. i have never tried cycling or long distance biking at all. i obviously know how to ride a bike, so my question is just how realistic is me riding a bike to work everyday in the next month. can i persay, be riding my bike the first week of january? assuming the wether is appropriate, i live in california. the ride would have to be around 4am because i go in at 5am everyday. but i think the ride is long enough to get a nice work out and save some money in gas. so my question is not advise on what bike to get or equipment. my question is, is 11 miles a realistic commute everyday starting the first week of january?. i need all the help and advise i can get. will i get that tired on a bicycle? i repeat i have never traveled this long on a bike but i mean i am not overweight. thank you. :)

I looked them up and they are like $80 for a dozen. I saw them at GolfSmith and they had them for $17.99 a dozen for logo overruns. They are supposed to be like the NXT so I bought some because they are $10 cheaper than the NXT tour.

Anybody tried them?

Back at the University of Arizona, whenever Steve Kerr made a basket, the crowd would chant, "Steeeeeve Kerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!" I've always wondered if they did that when Steve got into the pros.

He's ripped into Mikka Kiprusoff, one of the best goalies in franchise history. Iginla is working his *** off game after game, but Flames continue to lose. Dion Phaneuf looks burnt out and uninterested; he played very poorly on the Westcott OT goal against Columbus.
Calgary is currently 13th in the west, but Phoenix and LA can pass them if they win their games in hand. I think Keenan won't last past Christmas if Flames don't do better.

Hello from Britain! Some friends and I are discussing the recent mass media coverage of gun crime in Britain (typically committed by under 16s, worringly) and how, if you live in the right area and know the right people, it's very easy to get a handgun, even if it is very expensive and may be, in actual fact, a modified blank-firing pistol of a reactivated collector's piece. Nothing top of the range, but of course they all kill.

We then wondered that, given some parts of the USA have very liberal gun laws compared to us here in the UK, does that neccesarily make it any easier to get an illegal handgun or do you still have to be part of that tight-knit underworld fraternity? Could you or I, Joe Bloggs, acquire an illegal handgun with relative ease even if we knew nobody who was of criminal leanings? Or is it just as secretive a process as it is in the UK, depsite the fact there are so many more legal guns?

Thanks for all serious and helpful answers!

Why?

How many teams: Two? Four? Eight? Twelve? Sixteen? More? Less?

Who selects the teams: Polls? Coaches? Writers? Experts? Computers? Fans? Bowl Selection Committees? League Commissioners? S.I.D.'s?

Who ranks the teams: Polls? Coaches? Writers?, etc.

How many teams from each conference: One? Two? Three? Unlimited?

Does Notre Dame get special treatment?

Does a school have to be conference champ to participate?

Where will you play the games: Highest ranked home field advantage? Neutral site? Bowl sites? Cold weather climate? Warm weather climate?

When will you play: Before Christmas? After Christmas? Both? Neither?

What impact will a playoff have on the other bowls: Significant? None? Do you care?

Will a playoff encourage/discourage better non-conference schedules and more inter-sectional games?

I have a lot more questions but that's enough for now.

Congratulations on your making the National Title Game - best of luck in "The Swamp" of "Death Valley" - those LSU Tigers are looking for a "fight". What is your take on the game; irregardless of who you are rooting for?

Me? I'm a USC Trojan - just happy to be going to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on 1 January. Fight ON! Go USC!

I am about to buy my first deer rifle (Remington 700 sps Stainless). I enjoy the .270, and find it's recoil to be very manageable with 150-grain rounds, but I was also considering the .30-06 (because of cartridge variety/selection).

How much more recoil does an .06 have? Also, is the .06 much louder than the .270? I'm not super recoil-sensitive, but noise will make me flinch more easily than the actual push on my shoulder.

Thanks!

You have Oklahoma beating the #1 team... and an idle team slips into the #1 spot like that? Why aren't other games factored in? Please explain to me, why Oklahoma isn't #2, at least... and how this isn't ALL a sham, because they're looking for max "ratings" with the Ohio St./LSU match-up? (Am i wrong?)
