Definitely Canada
When Canada's top players have met Sweden's top players, Sweden has only won once
1976 Canada Cup
1981 Canada Cup
1984 Canada Cup (Canada beat the Swedes 3x)
1987 Canada Cup
1991 Canada Cup
1996 World Cup
2002 Olympics (ok, so Sweden won this game)
2004 World Cup
2006 Olympics
Canada 10 wins
Sweden 1 win

Canada....where the game originated. If Sweden is the best at hockey, why do they come to North America to play the game?
And....why are you answering your own question? Anyone who wants an easy 10 pts. only needs to agree with you that Sweden is....duh!

I was born and raised in the U.S. of A and I think it's the great est country in the world, but even I know that Canada is best at Hockey!
Thank you Canada for giving us the greatest game ever played!
U.S. is #2, because Canada is so good their skills naturally rub off on their neighbor to the South :)
EDIT:
Hey "oni_link_04" : Sure Russia was good until 1980, then a group of U.S. college students beat them and went on to win the gold. Do you believe in miracles?!

Oh yeah, Sweden is the best at hockey. That's why there are more Swedes than Canadians in the NHL and that's why Sweden always does better in international competitions than Canada and that's why all the top goal scorers and goalies in the NHL are Swedish not Canadian and that's why teams full of Swedes (like Detroit) always beat teams full of Canadians (like Anaheim) in the playoffs.
The only good Swedes in the NHL are the ones that play like Canadians

If the various national teams played each other in a full 80-game NHL-style schedule, Canada would finish first and it wouldn't even be close. I'd like to think the U.S. would finish second, but I doubt it. Maybe we'd get lucky in the Playoffs, but I'm pretty sure Canada would win that, too.

Now you did it. Next Tracy Terry will be asking what race is better...THANKS!
As for the question, Canada has the greatest tradition, hockey kids actually start skating/playing as soon as they are able to walk. I have actually met guys who walk better in skates than street shoes...so by and large, Canada still produces the best players across the board(s).

there is a difference between which country produces the best players and which country is actually the best at hockey.
Sweden players are the greatest, i agree.
but Canada is the best country at playing hockey.
ADD- your must be stupid if you think sweden is the best, sure my fav hockey player comes from there, but they aren't a great international team! Canada is tons better.

Jamaica. They have proved themselves in the bobsled track and they will prove themselves on the rink, too. Now that John Candy is deceased though they will need a new coach. Yes, it will be the same team as the bobsledders. Somebody get them some rollerblades, a tree trunk, and some hemp rope. (for the net, not to smoke)
