You have Oklahoma beating the #1 team... and an idle team slips into the #1 spot like that? Why aren't other games factored in? Please explain to me, why Oklahoma isn't #2, at least... and how this isn't ALL a sham, because they're looking for max "ratings" with the Ohio St./LSU match-up? (Am i wrong?)

I've a problem with LSU being the #2 ahead of Oklahoma... and a problem with Ohio St. being #1 (since they LOST that ranking, earlier...) and because Ohio St. didn't have that tough a schedule AFTER they lost that ranking... am I losing my mind over this issue, no... I know the NCAA's are a sham and at ANY point, there are 20+ players driving Cadillac Escalades, etc. across campuses... etc. without anyone saying "boo"...

Instead of complaining about OHio State, you should be complaining about a 2-loss LSU team jumping over everybody and getting into the NC game.

LSU= mediocre and overrated.

I agree, it should be Ohio State vs. Oklahoma in the NC game.

Just because their season finished earlier doesn't make their record or ranking any less valid. The fact is, there are only 2 teams with equal or better records behind them: Kansas and Hawaii. Nobody else even deserves consideration for a #1 ranking, and both of those teams had far inferior schedules.

BTW, Oklahoma's 1 win in their final game does not override their 2 losses, and Missouri clearly did not deserve their #1 ranking in the first place. Also, Ohio State got in the BCS Championship because they deserved it. LSU got in because the coaches voted for them (ESPN-Coaches Poll). If you want to complain, complain about LSU being there, not Ohio State.

I bleed scarlet and grey. I love Ohio State, but I do not think they should be in the national championship. Ohio State does have some really dedicated fans, so the NCAA will definitely bank with having them in the national championship. Its really hard to say who the number 2 team should be. I think LSU is number 1 with a toss up of Oklahoma, Missouri, OSU, and Georgia at #2

Elementary, my dear Watson.
#s 1 & 2 lose. Ohio State is #3. They move up...would you like a calculator?
LOL. I'm teasing.
It doesn't make much sense to me either...and no, OSU was not idle. Their season is over. (Idle implies that they have a bye week or something like that). Symmantics.
Any-who. That is also a part of the BCS that is totally flawed. How can we compare apples to oranges? The Big Ten was finished with their regular season before Thanksgiving, yet most other schools have two games after that weekend.
During the season, idle teams were moving around and I guess fair is fair.
No, you're not wrong. It's all about money and ratings.

We could go on and on about who should be in the national championship game. I beleive that, if anybody got screwed, it's Georgia. Them and OSU were #3 and #4 before Mizzou and WVU lost on Saturday. In all fairness, it should be Georgia and OSU in the big game. Believe me, I am not happy about Ohio State being in the championship(i am a Michigan fan), but, they won their conference and haven't lost since.Even though they have played well lately, Oklahoma was embarrased on national tv by Texas Tech. I am surprised that a 9-3 Illinois team made it to the Rose Bowl.

yea because LSU vs Oklahoma is not a marquee matchup. Or LSU vs USC is not a marquee matchup. C'mon...But to answer your question, Ohio State was #3..both #1 and #2 lost. Therefore #3 became #1. That simple. And given that #3 won their conference.

And to Jonathan(?) the AP vote does NOT count towards the BCS any longer. Only the coaches poll.

Oklahoma beat the same team it beat earlier in the year. You don't get double the credit beating the same team twice. If Kansas had won last week vs mizzou than maybe.
Ohio St is a 1 loss team who won its conf....thats why they are number 1. LSU vs Ohio st is the right choice

Well, they figured they better put a team up against LSU that won't take 'em into triple overtime. OU & LSU would be a Helluva game, OSU will be an easy kill for the Tigers. They have what 51 days to lose focus ...AGAIN.

Your totally right, and the whole system is a complete sham. Every year, when the seasons over, the format cries for a playoff and this year is the worst by far. I will take USC against anybody right now and OSU is so overated its not even funny. If anybody doesn't think Mizzou got robbed, then there blind.

TRADITION. The Big 10 is traditionally a power league, and OSU is traditionally a power team. Even in lean years, a team with 1 loss that wins the Big 10 will always be considered.

Also, they TRAVEL WELL!
