Congratulations on your making the National Title Game - best of luck in "The Swamp" of "Death Valley" - those LSU Tigers are looking for a "fight". What is your take on the game; irregardless of who you are rooting for?
Me? I'm a USC Trojan - just happy to be going to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on 1 January. Fight ON! Go USC!

Coganoid - thanks for the correction, amazingly I have an issue with that word in my reports from time to time - can't believe I pulled it here. Now that we have this corrected - give me your take on the game or team - I thumbed you up so regardless of any thumbs down it will not be from me. :)))

Gerry G - thanks to you as well. See the above note to Coganoid.
Can we all get over the use of my incorrect wording? "IRREGARDLESS" should have read "REGARDLESS".

There are two people who answered this question who, in my personal view, had EVERY right to correct me on my wording. THEY chose not to and this is but one reason I am thankful for the intelligence they bring to Y!A.
Linz/Shelby - Thanks for your response - I can only choose one of you and this one goes to Shelby.
USC Forever!

LSU doesn't scare me.
From an objective standpoint, I don't think they are as good as they were last year. There were quite a few games (this year) that they barely survived. They don't impress me that much.
Regardless, it should be a good game.
I hope they ARE looking for a fight -b/c we're going to give 'em one.

I have watched most of the Ohio State games this year, and many of the LSU games, and can say without a doubt that Ohio State is the better team. LSU had 2 losses against mediocre teams, and should've lost several other times. And frankly, they just did not look that good in most of their games I saw. They did not more the ball well, and their defense gave up a lot of yards against everyone with a half decent offense.
Ohio State's only loss was to a team that is superior to many of the teams LSU played close games with, and the Buckeyes were one challenged call away from winning (Illinois clearly fumbled on the 3 yard line but it was not challenged, and they went on to score. Ohio State lost by one touchdown).
Final Score:
Ohio State 28 LSU 17

I think this is going to be a rather surprisingly good game. Good Defense vs. Good Offense. I think OSU learned a valuable lesson from last year and will come into this years game a lot better prepared. Too bad this is basically a home game for LSU, but thats how it goes. Now let the battle of words begin.

I don't care who wins but I look forward to a great game. May the better team win & some Ohio State fan stated that LSU fans(not all) were the rudest on planet earth well I recall some rude Ohio State fans as well on yahoo answers, but there are these types of fans for all teams if you ask me.

After last year's debacle against the passing game of Florida, I think Tressel knows the danger of an SEC passing game and will have his guys better prepared this time.
Plus, the guys who were Juniors on last year's team are Seniors now, and they are going to try really hard to make sure they go out with a championship.

Ohio State is lucky they are part of the Big Ten. They would have a hard time even coming in second place in any of the other major conferences. They would probably have come in no better than third even in the WAC.
And, by the way, there is no such word as "irregardless."

I think with a month off the LSU defense and most noticeably Glen Dorsey will be healthy and become that dominant force again. Itl be a great game but i believe the tigers will come out on top.

Well Mr. Trojan man... you should be happy that OSU backed into the championship. Becuase now you get the Illinois in the Rose Bowl instead of the Buckeyes.

I'm glad Ohio State will get a chance at redemption this year, especially against a LSU team that has among the rudest and most obnoxious fans anywhere on planet earth.

I am for LSU and I wished that we could have played USC because we could finally settle up from four years ago and I think it would be a hell of a game.
