After the Bengals beat the Steelers 38-31 at Heinz Field on Dec. 4, 2005, Chad Johnson boasted, "It used to be Pittsburgh's time, now it's Cincinnati's time, and it'll probably be that way for a while. They're like black and white TV, we're like color TV."

The Steelers won the Superbowl that season. His prediction about the Bengals was way off, LOL.

I really can't stand that loud mouth, and he disappears every time he has to go up against the Steelers D.

Only last years World Series between St. Louis and Detroit drew a lower audience! My 2005 White Sox vs. Houston had more viewers than this year!!
So the question is - was it because the playoffs as a hole sucked this year - or was it because the rest of the world hates Boston since they have become the annoying brother in the world of Evil Empires??

they're pretty expensive and ill only have a couple days to ice fish since i work alot and the nj weather has been crazy last couple years...i never thought id be able to wear shorts in december until last year

i can not stand it when a team (college football) becomes the #1 team in the nation then there are all these haters that say things like they dont play anyone, they got lucky, the refs suck, so and so is going to beat them, and blah blah blah. the fact is whenever a college football team goes undefeated they are doing pretty darn good. the buckeyes have beaten everyone they should have beat this year and then some. no other team can say that. thanks i needed to vent

The guy hasn't even started what equates to a full season yet... they don't even know if he can really handle the playoffs, especially with what happened after last year against Seattle. Tom Brady had to wait until he won two superbowls to get a $60 million contract. Now I like Romo, but I think there is a little proving he has to do before he's getting paid like one of the top QB's in the NFL... this actually might hurt his progression, but it might not. I still feel like they should of waited until after the postseason to see how he performed. What about you guys?

Now that the MLB baseball season is over, the sale of the Chicago Cubs will take center stage. One of baseball's most storied franchises is worth around $600 million to $1 billion depending upon who you ask.

In another thread, one poster mentioned that Commissioner Bud Selig and Jerry Reinsdorf (principal owner of the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago White Sox) would try and block Mark Cuban, the owner of the Dallas Mavericks, from becoming the next owner of the Cubs.

I know Cuban's been a pain in the butt to guys like NBA Commissioner David Stern, who's fined Cuban on numerous occasions, but if no one with at least some Chicago ties steps forward to buy the Cubs, then I don't see why an offer from Cuban wouldn't at least receive fair consideration.
