hmmm...
Gordon had more wins in 2 weeks then jr has had in 2.5 years. Gordon has 4 title (working on a 5th) and Jr hasnt even finished 2nd in points. Gordon has won Indy 4 times, and the daytona 500 3 times. Jr has only won the 500 once. Gordon is millions times better in a race car. He can adjust the car to the feel he is looking for if jrs car starts off bad then his car is going to be bad. Jr is where he is because of his daddy. I dont care what anyone says. Jimmie Johnson has been in cup 2 less years then Jr and has nearly double the wins and one championship. Jr doesnt even come close to Jeff Gordon.

No. Jeff Gordon is the much better driver, and you can tell just by statistics alone, and Gordon has much more racing experience but Jr. has been around his dad and racing all of his life, so he knows alot more you would think, but Gordon has the better stats. You would think that since Jr. grew up around on of the greatest race car drivers of all times that he would be the better driver since he learned from the best, but yet that doesnt seem to be the case. So we will just have to wait and see what next year comes.

Okay Okay! Ease up a bit. Fact! Jeff was awesome in Busch, Fact! Jeff was offered an awesome deal by HMS. Fact Jeff left BD Racing to go to HMS. More money, better deal, better equiptment. Fact, no doubt Jeff is a great driver with great skills. Combine that with a team and owner that want to be the best and you have something special. It is a team effort folks. Put anyone with talent in a great car with a great team and you will get multipal championships. There are many if's though. Say Davey Allison, Tim Richmond, Rob Moroso, Alan Kolwicki had not been tragically killed or died. Sr nor Jeff would hold such records. Adam Petty was taken far too soon. Kyle although nothing like his father on the track has done so much for the sport off the track. Dale Jarrett nothing like Ned. We can go on for ever.
Dale jr is dale jr. To say that he is where he is only because of who his father was is as inmature and idiotic as saying because Bill Elliott was awesome so should his son be. He may be better or worse but I can tell you this. The son's of these legends earned their seats! Every driver on that track has earned their seat. I serioously doubt that anyone bashing jr could make one lap at speed in his car without hitting the wall. Sr gave jr a name, thats it. Jr has earned the rest. Is he a great driver? YOU BET! Like his father he makes passes other can't and did it last weekend on 7 cylinders! He drove his heart out this year for his TEAM! And they have worked their hearts out for their TEAM. When all is said and done to be where they are doing what they are doing I believe they can all stand with their heads high. An evil stepmom? I do not think so. It's business. Hers and jr's BTW. Jr did earn his busch championships and next year he, like Jeff will have top notch equiptment. What then will you say?

Many people say Dale Jr. hasn't been racing as long as Gordon. That is true. Junior is in his 8th season and has 17 wins and no championships. In Gordon's first eight seasons, he had 52 wins and three championships. At Junior's present rate he will get his 80th win in the 2037 season. He will be about 60 years old. However, Junior is going to Hendrick Motorsports, so if we assume he doubles his winning rate, he will reach 80 in about 2018. By that time, Gordon will have been retired due to boredom for several years with likely around 100 wins (assuming he slows down over his final few seasons).

Comparing the two of them is like comparing apples to oranges. It isn't going to be a good comparison. They have had completely different race cars, and equipment, not to mention crews, and crew chiefs.
Next year may be the first time we can draw even a simple comparison between them. If Jr. and Gordon have the same stuff, and access to the same information, and resources, it will be a whole lot more accurate of a comparison.
Wait till then, then we shall see.
Gordon has accomplished a lot in his racing career, and has had a lot of chances to race different cars as he came up throught he ranks of racing. From an early age racing 3/4 midgets, all the way to cup cars he has done it all. That alone would give him an edge over many other drivers right there. You don't do all of that and not gain some kind of experience. Jr. on the other hand didn't take the same route, going right into Busch cars with little other experience before that. Which brings up my topic of before, just wait till they are on equal ground.....

Gordon has drove--Go Carts-1/4 Midgets-Midgets-Sprint Cars and Craftsman Truck + Busch & Cup Cars compared to Jrs. only driving Busch & Cup Cars. This is a different way to look at it without throwing out all the Facts of Stats on Wins and other things!!!!!

Junior has been in Nextel Cup for 8 years now and still has yet to win a championship, Gordon had 3 championships in 8 years. Sure you can argue the "equipment" factor but if Junior is really Dale Senior reincarnated (which every on makes him up to be) Junior would be able to take the lesser equipment and be able to drive like a madman to get to the front or even a win. If Junior wins 10 races and the championship next year, we will really know but every one is finaly starting to realize junior really isnt all he is made up to be.

Well Gordon is a better racer. If Jr could just stop having all this bad luck. He needs a pit crew that knows how to put a tire on right!

I believe Jeff takes a more intelligent approach in his driving, whereas Jr. has a more aggressive streak starting to surface for the first time in his career . Bring it on "08!!!
