I'm a friend of David Reutimann, and I'm pretty sure he will get a win next year, because there is a article that he said next year he will get a win, he said it to his Nextel pit crew. He is getting so good he will probably have a few wins next year. And when he won my neighbor and friend chuck called him up and left a message on his cell phone, saying we are so proud of you, congrats.

I am not what you would say a fan of Reutimann, but I enjoy watching talent. I would say that he may get 1 or two wins next year. With the addition of Gibbs to Toyota, it will help their power and chassis performance. Knowing that Reutimann and Vickers are the overall best performers in Toyotas, their performance will only be amplified by information exchange with Gibbs. Gibbs experience with Chevrolets and what makes them different from the Toyotas will benefit all the Toyota teams and get them on the right track.
On a side note, the driver that we all need to watch for is Joey Lagano. I am not a fan of his, but the dude can wheel a racecar.

David's competition is much greater in the Cup series. I think when he moves from Toyota and Michael Waltrip Racing to a better team, he will win a race. Michael Waltrip Racing is not a premier team and is a very long way from becoming one. One of the greatest drivers ever, Dale Jarrett, has had trouble qualifying and took all 6 of his past champion's provisionals this year in the first 6 races.

Honestly I dont ever see David winning a cup race. He kind of backed his way into the win at Memphis after half the field wrecked out. He is a average driver but i havent seen him do anything spectacular that would leave me to believe he can win a cup race.

It all depends on how well MWR is next yr...Reuti could get a win in the next couple yrs....But he is in a Toyota...Cup is a much more competitive field than Busch...It was great to see him get a win at Memphis, and to be able to avoid all those dang cautions.. He is such a nice guy, it would be nice to see him get a cup win in a Toyota, I doubt ole Mikey will ever see victory lane again, unless its to congratulate Reuti..

I'd say most likely the middle of next season at one of the cookie cutters... he's a talented driver in lackluster equipment... with Gibbs moving over to Toyota next season the R&D will get a huge lift that will only start to really trickle down to the lesser teams once the higher profile drivers can begin experimenting with setups...

I'd give him 2-3 years at the very least. He needs to get more time on the track in Busch first then concentrate on Cup racing.

Hopefully sooner than later. The problem is that there is just so much consistant competition. there are five or six guys that will be in the top ten just about every race. And many of these guys team up to help each other conquer races week after week.
