i can not stand it when a team (college football) becomes the #1 team in the nation then there are all these haters that say things like they dont play anyone, they got lucky, the refs suck, so and so is going to beat them, and blah blah blah. the fact is whenever a college football team goes undefeated they are doing pretty darn good. the buckeyes have beaten everyone they should have beat this year and then some. no other team can say that. thanks i needed to vent

I'm with ya!
I'm also annoyed that Ohio State has lost only 1 game in the past 2+ years, and that is the only game anybody refers to. They forget our win against Miami in the NC game when they say Ohio State can't compete against the good programs. It then becomes..."they got lucky" or "there was a bad call" or "the other team had a bad game".
There is only one word to describe this: Jealousy

Since schedules are made several years in advance, there is no way to tell how good a team will preform. There are teams willing to take a beating to get the big payday from some of the traditional powerhouses. I'm sure when Auburn scheduled South Florida for 2007, they never thought they would lose the game to a team who had previously been a cupcake.

There are several teams in the same position as OSU. BC, Kansas, Arizona St. & Hawaii have failed to lose a game, yet they are rated 2,4, 8 & 14 respectfully.

You have to admit that OSU hasn't played a difficult schedule and have yet to play a top 10 team. Akron, Kent St. & Youngstown St., as out of conference teams, not traditional power houses.

Enjoy it while you can because OSU has a November 17th date in Ann Arbor. Should be a heck of a game.

There will always be haters, and sometimes they will be victorious. If, in your case, the haters are proven wrong, then enjoy rubbing it in.

I personally think things in the standings will change by the end of November. However, I KNOW my team is out, so I don't really have a personal interest in "hating"on the Buckeyes, I just think they will lose the #1 spot before the NC game. Good luck though, regardless! Enjoy the top while you're there!

It can be irritating when people talk crap and make excuses for why there team lost. With that said until last week when Ohio St. beat Penn St. they had not beaten anyone worth mentioning. Yes Ohio St. did beat the teams that they were suppose to and in this crazy season that is an accomplishment, but they did need to get some quality wins. OSU does have a chance do that , so if they do they should be ranked 1. and going to the BCS championship game.

GO BUCKS!!! Well the problem still is the whole Gaytors issue and really I like it when everyone is against them and I believe Jim Tressle does to....The fact of the matter is OSU against FL was a sad game the bucks didnt even show up in my opinion and fl wanted it bad enough. So I believe osu does need to prove themselves....yes its a great year for these young players and they are doing well...But really when someone says you cant do something doesnt it make the fire in you burn that much brighter!!! GO BUCKS!!!! oh and were going to kick wolverines azzes!!!!!!

College football is irritating ~!

120 teams and they all make it to a Bowl Championship game so none of the kiddies feel left out ~a shame ~!

That's what happens when you're # 1, and everyone is gunning for you. It's all part of the deal. If and when OSU wins the BCS, then everyone will have to shut it. I would be much more upset if my team was irrelevant and no one was talking about them.

You say "the buckeyes have beaten eveyone they should have beaten this year and then some. no other team can say that."
Other teams that can say that:
BC
Arizona State
Kansas
Hawaii

Your #1--------Enjoy it !!

If you go undefeated all year and win the BCS there will still be some "idiot self proclaimed experts" out there to tell you why you don't deserve it .

IGNORE THEM THEY ARE STUPID and that can't be cured .
