The last 3 weeks the Chargers have been every bit as dominant as the colts and patriots, now they have Chris Chambers and they really seem to be in their groove like they were last year, is it safe to say that they are back?

Don't get me wrong. I know there are risks, and I know there is a big payoff for these guys in their profession. NOR do I like the judicial system we have for sueing everyone for anything.
But in recent NHL games, some injuries received seemed intentional.
Until the leagues start suspending players for longer (or life) I think cival lawsuits need to play more of a role. (The Todd Bertuzzi and Matry McSorely careers incidents for example)

Report: Yankees Offer Manager Job To Joe Girardi
NEW YORK (CBS) ― The Yankees may have their new manager.

The team has offered their managerial job to former Yankee catcher Joe Girardi, and he is expected to accept it, according to a report on ESPN Radio.

Also in the report, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman informed coaches Don Mattingly and Tony Pena that they will not be getting the job.

A source said Girardi is expected to fly to New York for the official announcement, which is likely tomorrow.

Girardi's contract is expected to be in the three-year, $6 million range.

Has anybody heard this??? Do you agree with the decison?

I love the Gophers men's hockey team and despise the New York Yankees baseball club and my friend called me a hypocrite and said the gophers were the Yankees of college hockey. I don't think that is right. It seems to me that the Yankees buy their teams and are truly evil.

Fair comparison or not?

I'm seriously thinking of buying a new Arbor Draft snowboard. They say it is a good board for park riders who use the whole mountain. I've been snowboarding for 9 years and i ride every where. parks, trees, powder, back country, groomed... Will this board work good for me?

The Patriots have been criticized for continuing to pile on the points after they've already blown a team out. They did it again this week, with Brady throwing his 3rd TD pass when they were already up 38-0 on the Redskins.

In comparison, the Chargers led the Texans 35-3 at halftime. In the second half they threw a total of 3 passes and didn't score again.

Rivers threw 11 passes. Brady threw 38.

So what do you think is the appropriate way to play when an opponent is being blown out? Should a team continue to pile on points, as this is a professional league? Or should they go easy, knowing the game is in hand?

Ok, if ARod opts out, he's # 1. I also know Lowell is a free agent, as is Aaron Rowand... but i don't know anyone else. A guy at work told me he heard Miguel Cabrera is a free agent. Is this true? Who do you want YOUR team to get?

Do you guys wish you had traded him away last year after he went on a big slump in the playoffs against the tigers?

Are the Yankee fans happy he and his big fat contract is gone?

Or do you guys wish he stayed?

Is he worth all that money?

Well anything goes here...kinda like a mini forum/discussion. About A-rod , Yanks and the possibility of the Red Sox signing him to avenge losing Johnny Damon
