I'm curious what others thought. Personally, I found it to be incredibly boring, likely because one team was obviously far better than the other. Very little drama, a sweep, and a terrible performance at home from the Rockies.

Anyway, congrats to the Sox. They were the best team in baseball pretty much all year, and it's good to see them win something they deserved. It's just too bad that it had to be so dull for those of us not on the East Coast.

I think that's the only way Owners will get the message across that this salary situation is getting out of hand & that they will not take it anymore. I already know that will not happen but imagine if it did.

I live in a city. I was looking for something that I can just ride around from time to time, but could function as a mountain bike if I ever got around to doing that. I don't want one of those huge bikes that keeps you up high, with your back parallel to the road. What should I get, and how much are we talking?

I was wondering wich of these scopes would be best for a russian nagant. it is equivelant to a .270 or a 30-06. I want a good inexpensive scope. I need it to see far and zoom out good enough to see right up close as well. Also which brands should I be looking at? These are some I have been looking at. Thank you. My budget is about $50.

I'm just wondering if that is why everyone is so against them. If this cheating thing never occured would people just be like "wow they are a really great team" or would they still be trashing them and talking about how they run up the score?

Just a side note: noone said anything when San Diego Scored 41 - 3 over Denver, i think it was week 5, wouldn't that be "running up the score"?

This guy is a fighter but can also score. If you had a guy like Gretzky out there who is a superstar and has it in his mind that this guy wants to nail him then wouldn't it mess up your game?

They couldn't have waited for the game to at least be over? They had to try to outshine Boston's accomplishment last night & as usual A-Rod showed it's always about him & being a robot for Boras. And before anyone says I'm just a bitter yankee fan i was against him coming to the Yankees from the get go. I was not happy when the Yanks got rid of Soriano for him.

This is a speculation question that requires two elements- first who might be playing in the all star game (you don't need the entire roster) and who will the leaders in that group be?

So Sakic and Shanahan again? or will it pass to a new generation- say Crosby and Kopitar? or a mix? Which players would get the nod from you?

I need to buy a bike to cycle to work on. I want to spend around £300 - 400. I will probably use it most days so I want decent parts that wont wear out quickly and something relatively light weight.

Can anyone recommend a brand or model that I can use for the commute as well as general fitness?

Thanks

I have a question with terminology relating to sports predictions. Let's say the Miami Dolphins are playing at the Houston Texans and experts pick "Houston minus the 7." Does this mean that the line was for Houston to win by 7? Does this indicate that the experts predict Houston to win, but not by 7? What if Houston was picked to win "plus the 7?" Who decides what "the line" should be? Vegas? Thanks for the help!

If the Indians had held on and beat the Bosox, who would've won the World Series?

2007-10-29 02:44:56 · 17 answers · asked by senorrobertoe 3 in Baseball

If you've been paying attention to football the last few years (starting with Indy's comeback against Tampa Bay) you should know that almost no lead is safe. Just this season a few teams have scored a ton of points in the fourth quarter, either winning or getting oh-so-close. If a team can't stop you or your second string what are you supposed to do? Kneel for every play after you're a certain margin of points ahead of the opposing team?
Just like in the NHL and MLB, teams aren't going to stop because the other team can't stop them, they just keep playing. Insurance goals and runs, no one says anything about those.

How did London manage to win the bid to host the 2012 Olympics?

If I remembered correctly, they are not a strong contender and the other bidders have more impressive facilities and material to help them by.

In fact, if I am correct, London had also made a late entry and was not considered a favourite to win the bid. They had also took a non arrogant approach throughout. So, what made them win?
