This is a speculation question that requires two elements- first who might be playing in the all star game (you don't need the entire roster) and who will the leaders in that group be?

So Sakic and Shanahan again? or will it pass to a new generation- say Crosby and Kopitar? or a mix? Which players would get the nod from you?

Lidstrom.
Sundin.

not so sure about the East, but it should be Lidstrom in the West.

Like PuckDat said, since its a game that doesnt mean a whole lot, give it to Brodeur.

I gotta go with Mats Sundin for the east, just looking at the way he's been playing. He has been great player for a long time and I'd suspect that they would seriously consider him. In the west, I'd go with Joe Sakic. He has been playing well like always, and he deserves some recognition as a veteran player.

It might be time for the league to give the honor to Brodeur. I know it's normally against the rules but in this case it would hardly matter, it is the Allstar game after all. As for the west, I'd go with Rob Blake.

All-Star captains are an honorary position, usually given to a player who is playing his final All-Star game. Crosby and Kopitar won't be captains for many many years.

I'm with the guy who said give it to Brodeur (I am saying this as a person who hates the Devils). But while we are at it lets just make both teams have goalies...Hasek for the West and Brodeur for the East.
