I thought it was disgusting that they did that. I thought that MLB had to approve any major announcements during the World Series? Maybe that is only for team announcements not butthead announcements!! I so so so so so hope that A Rod does NOT end up in Boston next season.

Of course it was totally classless. Would you expect anything less from Boras and A-Rod. I think that is one of the most appropriate nicknames in baseball, seeing as how A-Rod IS a total ROD. And Scott Boras is a Boor-***. Rodriguez seems to think that he IS baseball, as opposed to being just a baseball player. The last two days (Sunday and Monday) were supposed to be about the Red Sox winning and celebrating a championship, and admiring the Rockies for their incredible run and their first NL Title. I know he will get signed, but it would be so beautiful if the baseball Gods smiled down upon the fans and every team passed on him. After all, he was called "The Cooler" by his own teammates on the Rangers.

Boras is that type of agent always trying to steal the headlines. Let Chicago have him and $35 million a year for about 10 years. Will he be injury free for that long? No player is worth that kind of money. Chicago has a need for pitching and they still believe Prior and Wood will be back. Good luck. I don't like the Red Sox, but it wa a selfish move. That's why MLB waits until after the series to announce award winners.

It was VERY bad timing and kind of rude. The Sox should be the headlines...not A-Rod.
If it were any other team...it would have been just as disrespectful. And to comment on your first comment. If the Yankees won the World Series but the headline the next morning was about a Red Sox player....you'd be just as upset.
I read your earlier post and thank you for being a classy Yankee!

I can think of a few choice words stronger than classless. Boras is a firm believer in what Colonel Tom Parker always said, "I don't care what they say... as long as they say something!"
And timing is everything. Had I been behind the microphone I wouldn't have mentioned it until after the game. But that's me.
The Red Sox and Rockies were center stage and that's the way it should have stayed.

Classless? How is this less classy than the Torre sage. This is the Yankee Way!!! The Yankees are all headline grabbing crybabies. They think they are bigger than the sport. I'm sure the Steinbrenners are loving the fact that attention may be taken from the Red Sox World Series win.

I think it was more of Boras making that call then A-Rod. Everyone already knows Boras has no class so it's no surprise. Now everyone can see how selfish A-Rod is. I'm glad he's leaving.
The only question left is, will he go to the highest bidder even if it is a terrible team?

As a Red Sox fan I really don't care what he tries to do. You can't outshine a world series win. That and the yankees should be happy he's gone regular season he's great, post season he's terrible.

Who cares. Just gives us another chance of laughing at him and saying man, what a LOSER! The Yankees should be happy they got rid of the curse of the A-ROD. He is nothing more than a self loathing dimwit who only produces numbers in the regular season. His agent is always like that as well as he is known as the most self absorbing punk himself. Let them have the headlines. Just remember, all the headlines form the Yankees and A-rod are NEGATIVE and all the headlines from the Sox are WINNERS! and we as fans can just chuckle at their demise as we celebrate another championship!
