I'm curious what others thought. Personally, I found it to be incredibly boring, likely because one team was obviously far better than the other. Very little drama, a sweep, and a terrible performance at home from the Rockies.

Anyway, congrats to the Sox. They were the best team in baseball pretty much all year, and it's good to see them win something they deserved. It's just too bad that it had to be so dull for those of us not on the East Coast.

I'm with you Craig... The only reason I even knew what was going on in the series was because I tune into ESPN to hear about football.

I'm happy for the Sox, but I couldn't care less about those two teams. I think it speaks pretty bad of the Rockies opponents out west when they go what?... 21 of 23 or something like that and then get swept by an east coast team 4-0...

Hell, maybe i'm just jealous because Boston has the Pats, Sox, and now Boston College (#2 BCS)... Hmmm....

Nahhhhhhh... I just don't care. ;)

It turned out about the way I expected: the team with momentum swept the team who sat waiting. I watched all but one game and enjoyed it because I am a baseball fan. Even though my team wasn't in the playoffs, I still like to watch good games. It would have been nice if the Rockies were better competition for the Sox though. But as an American League girl, I'm not surprised that they weren't.

First off I would like to congratulate the Red Sox on a Championship. As far as the Series goes, it was pathetically boring. It showed the glaring holes that the Rockies still have in their line-up and also showed that an 8 day lay-off is a killer on the momentum of a hot team. I would dissapointted and found myself scanning channels more often than I ever would have thought I would. It looked like the Rockies were over matched, out managed and playing uninspired ball, by the time they got home to Colorado they looked like they had began to believe that defeat was inevitable...that makes it hard to watch.

I disagree with you Craig. 2 of the 4 games were decided by 1 run.

In game 2 the Rockies had the tying run on base in the 6th and the 8th innings.

In game 4, the Rockies scored 2 in the bottom of the 8th to make it a 1 run game.

I think it was all in all a decent series to watch.

I enjoyed the games..the announcers were not very appealing and I listened to the radio while watching the game..I wanted seven games and the fact that Boston kept bringing pressure was pretty amazing..love the Rockies fans and really expected the team to open it up at any moment..I enjoyed, but miss baseball already..

It didn't grab my attention. I had more fun watching the first round of the MLS playoffs with FC Dallas beatin Houston 1-0!!!

Sad, that baseball has fallen this low, and the braintrust at ESPN continues to give baseball so much air time...seems like a complete waste of time and money.

Honestly, I've watched a glimpse of a game or two during the regular season and I had no idea that the D-Backs and Rockies where in the playoffs until they played each other. I decided to adopt the Indians for a round and they lost...

Baseball has become soooo boring, I'm glad its over and we can move onto other sports such as NFL, NHL, MLS and coming up next to last NBA.

Would any of us even notice if baseball no longer existed?

Twasn't BoSox's fault that the Rox wouldn't make it a true series.

Siriusly though, hadly can u get the kind of drama you'd expected from any other two teams, world series or not, other than Red Sox v. Yankees match up. Last year's WS was no better, it was equally devoid of drama and waoh moments.

I wanted the Rockies to win the WS but as you can see that didnt happen...I almost thought it was gonna go to Game 5 when in the 9th inning, the rockies almost hit a home run to tie it..but Boston caught it at the wall.

I chose to go to an NHL game Saturday night, and last night watched the last weeks worth of TIVO shows. It did not hold my attention at all. The fact that it was also on Fox did not help, as they over-do everything about a game with the effects and bad camerawork.
