What do you think is the best or toughest division in NHL?

The Northwest.

It was the toughest division statistically the last two years, and so far this year.

Before the season started, I would have said the Pacific is the best, but not right now with the way the Sharks, Ducks, and Stars are playing. The toughest is probably the Atlantic or Northwest division. Neither have an elite team, but they both have all strong teams (besides Edmonton).

The Northwest is one of the toughest, simply based on the point distribution among the five teams. Yahoo sports has a great site to look at these statistics over the past few years. All five teams are very close in their point totals.

As far as evenly matched teams within the division, I would say the Northwest. I've watched quite a few games between the Flames, Avs and Wild and they've all been quite competitive. If things carry on the way they have, it'll be a fight to the bitter end between these three for division champs.

Hard to answer anymore really. Might be easier to say which is the weakest division. I mean look at every division has at least 3 good teams and a couple that are mighty close. Seems only Phoenix and Atlanta are stumbling at the moment

EDIT: I only read the toughest part. There is no best, because every division has a sucky team.

I would've said Pacific in the beginning of the season because we have the Ducks and the Sharks. But it seems like those to are struggling right now, so i guess i'd go with Central.
