I have practiced Tae Kwon Do, Kickboxing and wrestling on and off for about 25 years now. While I feel confident in fighting someone that is about my same size, I would be very hesitant to fight someone significantly larger than me. Does anyone have any opinions about what styles of fighting are better for fighting opponents that are 50 to 100 lbs heavier than you?

Someone said try shadow boxing with small weights in your hands. Is this a good idea? I know I can punch harder coz I suck at those boxing games at the arcade but I can lift heavy boxes all day (30kg)

mlb.com shows his number as 24 but I thought this was retired for Willie Mays along with #37 for Casey Stengel, #41 for Tom
Seaver & #42* Jackie Robinson. I'm not sure if #8 is officially
retired for Gary Carter but I thought #14 was retired for Gil Hodges until I think I saw Julio Franco wearing it earlier this year.

Why trade him when he's better than anyone you can think of in the NBA right now but if your a selfish then you'll pick someone else. That would be ubsurd and down right unpatriotic.

I cycle between 8-10 miles a day, 5 days a week. I was wondering if anyone knows roughly how many calories this would burn, or if there is a way to measure how many calories you burn cycling?

thanks :)

Yes, I understand that the top teams are only a few games over .500 this season, but they've provided some of the best excitement in all of MLB.

The last three NL representatives in the World Series have come from the NL Central, and the last two have had less than 90 wins in the regular season.

The NL Central has the best action for the playoff race right now. Every other team leading for a playoff spot has at least a 2.5 game lead.

If you look on the board, most of the talk right now about the playoff race is about the NL Central. Without this close race, the finish of the regular season would be a bit quieter.

It will be a good race to the finish. The Cubs have 6 home games and 10 road games remaining, and this weekend's series against the Cardinals could determine if the Cardinals will still be in the playoff race. The Brewers have 10 home games and 7 road games remaining, and the true test for them will be those 7 remaining road games.

How come when the WWE does something good such as:

Tribute to the Troops (and the troops were more excited about that than Bush appearances)

First live show after 9-11 sayin you can attack us but you will never break us

All the endless charity donations Vince makes along with other wrestlers

Free tickets to the students of Virginia Tech

and others

But none of that gets covered but when something bad happens that does.
Shouldnt the news look for good things as well. That is there job I thought.

Is it me or do they just think wrestling is a bad image?

The 2008 schedule is still being drafted and not yet released, so this information could (but likely will not) change, but this little bit was disclosed today -- the last regular season games at Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium.

"Yankee Stadium is set to host its final regular-season game on Sept. 21, 2008, with New York playing Baltimore.

Shea Stadium will hold its regular-season wrapup a week later, on Sept. 28 against Florida."

Those are both Sundays.

Make plans now! If both Noo Yawk teams blow off the 2008 postseason, these will be the last games in the olde yards.

I expect the fireworks will be immense.

ARE ACCUSED OF? COME ON, GET REAL. THEY'RE ALL DOING IT. THEY'RE, APPARENTLY, A LOT MORE CLEVER ABOUT IT. I'M NOT SAYING IT'S RIGHT TO DO. I'M SAYING THAT IF YOU DON'T, YOU'RE AT A DISADVANTAGE. THE PLAYING FIELD IS STILL LEVEL, BECAUSE EVERYBODY ELSE DOES IT, TOO. PUNISH THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE STUPID ENOUGH TO GET CAUGHT. BUT, PLEASE, DON'T BE STUPID ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THEY'RE THE ONLY TEAM DOING IT. MANGINI'S JUST A SORE LOSER. THAT'S THE REAL REASON HE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT.

I like Thomas Jones normally, and I don't really have any interest in playing Dunn, but the Jets are playing Baltimore and Pennington might not play, putting the Jets offense in even bigger trouble. But maybe if the backup QB plays for the Jets they'll be more likely to run than throw?

My RB #1 is Frank Gore.

2 RB's: LJ, Deuce Mc, Ahman Green, Derrick Ward

3 WR's: Holt, Galloway, Bruce, Driver, Furrey

1 Def: Jags or Packers

LJ is my stud but with the way Herm Edwards is working him plus the Bears pretty much shut down LT, I'm really thinking about benching him...any thoughts?

Plus with Def's, both will do good this week, but who more? Pack against a backup QB = INT's but Jags should harrass Atlanta as expected...tough pick
