The 2008 schedule is still being drafted and not yet released, so this information could (but likely will not) change, but this little bit was disclosed today -- the last regular season games at Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium.

"Yankee Stadium is set to host its final regular-season game on Sept. 21, 2008, with New York playing Baltimore.

Shea Stadium will hold its regular-season wrapup a week later, on Sept. 28 against Florida."

Those are both Sundays.

Make plans now! If both Noo Yawk teams blow off the 2008 postseason, these will be the last games in the olde yards.

I expect the fireworks will be immense.

Awesome info. ! I already have the Yankees Sunday season ticket package this year and I was going to get the same package for next year as a gift to the family for Christmas. Now I am definitely getting it sooner than planned.

I don't think so that I have to attend last games in New York City as I have the vacation.

Both the Yankees and Mets will move to their new stadiums by 2009 season. They need to give up their attendance per games from 50,000 to around 40,000 as might to increases higher of ticket per game and a season.

Yankees should forget 26 championships while all time in old Yankees stadium as seeking new spirit which will hurt them so much to win World Series as let other teams win World Series.

I still don't see why they need new stadiums, but I'm guessing it's a money thing.

I'm definately not going to the last games at either stadium, but I would like to go to a game at both stadiums next season, just to say I went.

Already been to both stadiums a bunch.

As for Yankee Stadium their fans are very arrogant (while Phillies fans might be more hostile and violent) and the people that work there are even more rude.

I only go when my Tigers are in town.
