Someone said try shadow boxing with small weights in your hands. Is this a good idea? I know I can punch harder coz I suck at those boxing games at the arcade but I can lift heavy boxes all day (30kg)

Most of your body weight comes from your lower body. If sit down more on your knees then your punches will be more tight and crisp, which in turn makes your punches more harder. Also you need to hit the heavy bag, use hand grips, do a lot of wrist curls, and shadow box with 2lb weight gloves.

The punch merely makes use of a fragment of each and every activated muscle to generate that's potential. because of the fact the circulation of each and every muscle is shortened it would not get the completed benefit so which you're observing something extra alongside the strains of 5 p.c. out of a achievable hundred p.c. potential from each and every muscle used in a punch, upload directly to that the undeniable fact that punches are mentally limited because of the undeniable fact that in case you hit something too no longer consumer-friendly you will smear your hand around the objective quite than piercing via it. in short punches are limited by ability of the two the limited circulation of each and every muscle and what the hand can easily withstand no remember the type you punch. reckoning on the kick used kicks can carry the completed hundred p.c. of muscle potential. once you hit an opponent along with your shin bone or maybe the ball of your foot you're stunning with an merchandise that could tolerate many circumstances the tension which you will generate, they have stepped forward to be like that ever considering Homo erectus and are conditioned further each and every time you walk, run, bounce or bash your shin on something. With guidance the suggestions accepts that and removes regulations on the circulation. So while you're stunning with a roundhouse kick with the shin for example your shin is carrying the completed hundred p.c. of potential generated by ability of each and every muscle activated in that circulation plus the kinetic potential of your pivot which ability it generates better tension to the punch despite if it does use a smaller form of muscle tissues it gets extra from each and every physique.

Have someone look at your techniques, perhaps better use of hips, punching through a target (not hitting a target at full extention of the punch), better use of foot work, punching with hands more towards midline of body. Like I said, have someone really look at the whole body. Its not always strength, speed is a factor, as well.

You could start with cherry pick ups which is ofently used by boxing trainers or you could try it the old method way by hitting a 60lb punching bag at least 30min a day.

Imagine that your fist goes through your opponet's face. Aim for the back of their head, not their face. If you're punching them in the stomach- do the same- aim to put your fist through their stomach all the way to their back.
