I used to do KUng Fu but then i found out that the classes were a rip off so now i want to switch back to Japanese martial arts.

I've been doing a lot of research on Aikido, which caught my attention a week ago, and i seem to have fallen in love with the art and it's priciples of peace, but there are still things that i would like to know about it.

First off, i've heard that it's effective against multible attackers, all weapons, and any martial arts style, is this true? I have noticed that since it's 100% defence without hurting the attacker, it can be used easily against any martial art.

Well, thank you in advance for all your help yall, and please be truthful aight, peace.

If one comes along and bites your hook when you're fishing? I won't consider cutting the line and letting the hook stay in the shark.

I want to ride to the humane society 2 miles from my campus. I bike fairly slowly (taking my time). There are no real hills (I live in Gainesville, FL). About how long should it take me? I'm kind of heavy.

I know I did when I saw it on the news. The scene with the mascot (sorry, don't know the name) crashing into Coco Crisp gave me a good laugh (and I only say that because he wasn't hurt). I got another good one when the coach started yelling at an official about it.

When did that happen? Was it before the game or between innings? Also, what did the coach yell about? Did he think that the Mariners were trying to sabotage the Red Sox?

I've been watching a few videos on it and i'm quite impressed. However, I've noticed that in the displays the person's attack being reversed is flipping his/herself on purpose to avoid getting hurt. So i was wondering in a real situation would the attacker's arm actually break since they would not flip on purpose or does it really and work they do flip?

i see shifts being put on bonds, big papi and hafner

i know that a lot of times they have success hitting the ball up the middle or pull the middle and try to middle the ball on the bat...but during critical junctures of the games, why won't these guys bunt near the 3rd base line or slap the shot near the 3rd base?

this could disrupt the defense and runners on base could move up, the hitter could get on base and maybe an error might be commited

are they not skilled enough and can't handle the bat to hit the ball the other way in the infield or what?

pitchers are pitching them away so why won't these guys do it?

i mean look at hafner...his team could be running away with first place in the AL central if theywon more close games if he could come thru and play smart like that when a shift is placed on him in critical close games...he's having a bad year not hitting for power or average, why can't he do this and contribute to his team?

why can't lefties like him and others do that?

It's Kareem or Magic IMO. I'll take Magic. If you pick Kobe or Shaq you have to be at least 30 years old, you had to be able to see Magic and the fellas play when you were old enough to realize what was going on...to form a valid opinion here.

Really, the two main arguments are that five man rotations are going to reduce starts and therefore wins, and that starters get fewer decisions because they'll be yanked earlier.

But Glavine himself pitched in a 5 man rotation for his whole career, and was never a really huge workhorse (only topped 240 IP 3 times, which guys like Randy Johnson exceeded regularly only a few years ago. Hell, Bronson Arroyo had 240 IP last year.). And in spite of that, Glavine still won 300 games.

The increased use of bullpens hasn't really had an effect on the number of decisions by starters- according to the NY Daily News last week, starters get roughly the same percentage of decisions as they did 25 years ago.

Plus bullpen use may actually preserve leads- these days you usually don't see a starter go an inning too long and unravel like you might have in years past.

I run about 2 to 4 miles every day. My legs never cramp up.. it's only my stomach. More specifically, either the right or left areas under my ribs. After maybe the first 7 minutes of running, the cramps start.

My old cross country coach told me it was because I was breathing incorrectly. She told me to inhale only through my nose, and exhale only through my mouth, consecutively.

So far it hasn't been working, unless I'm using that technique incorrectly. And I never eat within at least 2 hours before I run, nor do I drink a lot of water before or during the run.

So can anybody tell me why this is happening, and how to prevent this?
