There is no evidence that steroids enhance the performance of pitchers. Pitchers do not necessarily have to have power. Even a pitcher that relies mainly on the fast ball has to have other pitches to complement that pitch. Flexibility, change of speed and other factors all contribute to a pitcher's success. If you examine the records, it is mostly position players that have tested positive or been have accused of steroid use. It would not have much of an effect on pitchers.

Pedro doesnt use steroids. He's a skinny little shrimp. He's just a naturally great pitcher. He shows no signs of steroid abuse. I'm sure some pitchers do. But Pedro is the last guy I'd suspect. And I dont even LIKE Pedro.

I'm not sure about Pedro in particular, but I'm confident that many, many pitchers have used steroids. Maybe even more often than hitters. Steroids help players regenerate torn muscle quickly, and everyone knows that power pitchers tear the hell out of their arms each time they start.

No chance in Pedro's case. You should have seen him 7 or 8 years ago. He is not a big guy, but he had great stuff and he was absolutely fearless. He would drive the opposing batters nuts because he was not afraid to buzz their skulls with a 93 mph fastball, then come back and buckle their knees with a curve or slider, then some heat, then a change up for a called third strike. It was routine for him to get 10 strikeouts in a game.

No, Pedro was a relatively small pitcher with an extraordinary arm. He is one of my all time favorite pitchers including Steve Carlton, Nolan Ryan, J.R. Richard to name a few. None of those I believe were using PED's.

No. Pitchers who have been busted for steroids use them to help their arms recover more quickly after pitching. A big factor too is that pitchers want to be able to stay fresh for an entire season...steroids help these guys keep their arms fresh.

Pedro - no. But I bet a lot of pitchers used HGH - human growth hormones. I also would venture an educated guess that a fair amount of hurlers used roids too.

No, Pedro has been tested and he is "Clean"

Look at players like Sosa, Maguire and Bonds. Their heads are so big, they could explode!

Pedro is a natural, talented player

most pitchers don't, if your muscles get too big your arm speed slows down and it is more difficult to pitch

Considering Perdo hasn't played in almost a year, and was kinda chunky, I'd have to say no.
