Okay, 19 hr's batting leadoff while he still isn't even close to being in his home run hitting prime. 83 runs, enough said. 28 stolen bases, enough said. 62 rbis which is plenty batting leadoff. Now here is where the critisizm comes in. He is batting .284. Why is this not important as a leadoff hitter? Because he has a .390 OBP. Sure he might not get as many hits as Ichiro but he gets on base a higher percentage of the time...isn't that what a leadoff hitter is supposed to do?
Now the best part of his game, his enthusiasm. He goes full out after every ball, which results in gold glove caliber center fielding. He plays everyday, and gives everything he has got.
