i am a die hard cubs fan. i think they have a pretty good shot.

I hope so it would be a party like Chicago has never scene before..if they do hold the rally at Daily Plaza .it would be next to impossible to move downtown!!

No they will not win the W.S.....typical Cubs fans thinking because they are on a hot streak in August means they will win the World Series....one of the reasons Cubs fans are extremely annoying.....an average play for one team....would be a web gem to Cubs fans if it happened for them. Thinking Zambrano is the next Cy Young and Derek Lee is reincarnation of Christ.Yeah when was the last times the Cubs won a World Series? Yeah hows your saviors Kerry Wood and Mark Prior doing? Both of them spend more time on the DL than they do actually playing. Cubs fans are extremely ignorant. You and your "Cubbies' are just in for another year of let down.

No man, the starting pitching isn't predictable enough. They've only got 2 starters with the necessary talent in the Big Z and Lily. Marquis and Hill aren't coming through and Marshall hasn't lived up to his billing. The bullpen is getting tired, i.e. look at their performance in the past week, only because the SP's aren't getting out of the 5th or 6th inning. The bullpen could be almost completely worn down by October.
Not even considering the American League bats they would have to face in the W.S., other NL teams would beat them almost every time in a 7 game series....Mets, Dodgers, and maybe even Brewers if the cubs could get the wild card or vice versa.
I am a fan of the cubs too, but they needed to do something before the trade deadline.

Sir, incase you haven't noticed, every cub fan is a die hard fan, and every die hard cubs fan believes the cubs will win the world series, ever single year. Now, for my take? The cubs WILL make the playoffs, but will make it no farther than the NLCS... Hey, it's progress

As in the Bush Bean Commercial...Win Pigs can Fly the Cubs will be Champions. Its not money that wins, its is teams with coaches like LaRusa and Bobby Cox along with the players they had. Sorry Cub fans maybe another year.

Well, if they get to the playoffs anything is possible. I still think the Brewers will win the division. I don't think the wildcard will come out of the Central. I think that will come out of the East or West.

they are on a hot streak but i dont think they will get that far but even if they did there is some hard hitting A.L. teams right now

I doubt it, they aren't even in the playoffs yet. They have plenty of time to screw up like they usually do
