Well, I'm going to answer your question on how to catch the sunnies, I think that is what you meant? It doesn't sound like you were fishing for the bass.

I fished Lake Champlain today, just a little bit north of Lake George, so the sunnies should be acting the same.

They are being a little bit picky right now, and bobbers are not working like they did in the spring. All of the locals are swearing by plain hooks with a small piece of nightcrawler (about an inch long piece), but I did really good with a 1/32 ounce orange painted jig head tipped with a piece of crawler, either will work.

They are all over shallow, weedy areas (about 8-10 feet of water) right now, near bridges and docks. If you are seeing them, then you are in a good area.

Flip your line out without a sinker, or with a very small splitshot if needed. Try to aim for the edge of the weeds. If they are not biting, be patient. They go through phases of biting and not. Late morning to early afternoon have been the best times recently. Boat traffic will cause problems, so try to be in a quiet area.

Good luck, and have FUN! Beautiful day up here tomorrow, hope you catch lots. :-)

Sorry approximately those rude solutions. Use a jighead hook (hooks with heads) and tie a knot referred to as a miles better clinch knot. seem it up on google it may carry the main weight extra beneficial than different knots. Then tie a fourth of an oz.. weight a foot from the hook and yet another foot positioned on a bobber. Use peanut butter bread and you will capture some extreme-high quality bait fish or use a rubber laptop virus and no bobber and reel it in very slowly and you will be able to capture massive fish. happy fishing ;)

For small mouth bass fish close to docks at sunrise. The bass seem to be really close to wooden structure. Last time I was a Lake George, I nabbed a two-pound small mouth on a spinner.

A Blakemore Roadrunner Turbo Tail jig on 6 pound test fluorocarbon line should do the job nicely.
Fish it S_L_O_W_L_Y!
Don't catch them all!
