Admittedly, I am biased because I have bled red and gold from my toddler years. However, I firmly believe that that trio wil lead the Niners back to the glory days. Smith doubled his passer rating last year, vastly improving everything about his game under the tutelage of Norv Turner. Even without Norv, Jim Hostler, the new OC and old quarterbacks coach, is a disciple of Turner and will keep his offense, which worked very well last year. However, the major change on offense will benefit Gore and Davis more than anyone else (besides maybe Joe Staley, who will replace Kwame Harris). Frank Gore will benefit from the more run-heavy offense that Hostler will employ. Hostler's scheme will also involve a lot of extra blocking and passes across the middle. These will undoubtedly increase Davis's value. The Niners will go to the Super Bowl in a few years for sure.

maximum underrated?? no longer once you're a #a million %.!! The Offense is Offencive....and that isn't Smith's fault. What desires to take place is Gore, Vernon Davis and Issac Bruce could play at that next point. The protection is there, in basic terms could get the O on that time.

Gore has definitly become an established back, hes a beast..

now Alex smith needs to step up, and Davis has some issues to to reach that next step.

Luckily you guys got rid of Blyod, he seemed more intrested in rapping than running routes...

The days of Young are gone, Smith may just be the next best thing for the bay.

No. Gore is a great running back, and will be great throught his careerer. Davis was a great TE in college but didn't shw great signs of being one in the NFL last year. And the injury didn't help. Alex Smith is a decent QB, and has potienal. But that is it.

The 49ers need to get some defense, the loss of Julian Peterson was bnot good last year, and the deense really hurt.

You're dreaming. Alex Smith will never lead a team to the Superbowl. The only way he will ever get a ring is buy one on ebay.

You will not win the NFL without superior line play. It really doesn't matter who your skill players are.

If the 49ers can improve their offensive & defensive lines, I don't see any reason why they can't go to the Super Bowl.
