A freak accident that doesn't almost kill him. Would you be happy about something like that? I wouldn't be happy that he got hurt, but it would be awesome for him not to break the record. I am not even a big baseball fan, but his smugness is so strong I hate it.

I may not be a big baseball fan, but I'm a big sports fan in general. And how is not liking Bonds jumping on a bandwagon, no ones liked him after his years of steroid cases of smugness.

Koalafamily I think your the stupidest top contributor here. I'm just asking the question, I even stated that I wouldn't like to see him get hurt. But I also wouldn't want to see him break the record. And I shouldn't exist because of something like this, whats up your butthole? Also I do live with my parents, I'm only 15 you jack@ss.

How sad when people have to wish harm on someone they don't know just for something as petty as a homerun record.

Ive been watching this guy be one of the best in the game since i was 5 years old. I hope he breaks the record and goes on to hit 50 more next year. He may not be the nicest guy in the game, he may have used performance enhancing drugs like thousands of other athelets (and takes the blame for all of him) but it has been he who has been smashing balls over fences for all these years, whille putting up with the millions of haters he has out there. The man is the greatest player of his generation and I think more people should be appreciative of the things he has done on the field over the years.

I hope he does get hurt and can't play on. But lets be honest this is a pointless question that I have heard and answered numerous times. People he is going to break the record no matter what you say on yahoo answers! In my mind though Hank will always be the real and true Baseball Homerun Champ. No Buts about it.

I don't wish anyone ill. However, you did say it best. His smugness and obvious distain for the law is unbearable. He does not deserve to break a record held by the most classy and distinguish gentlemen such as Henry Aaron.

I'd prefer that he just walk away and let Hank Aaron enjoy the record he deserves.
You described him exactly as I see him: smug, and I'm also not a big baseball fan, but the fact that he's going to likely beat Aaron's MLB record is getting me aggravated. Either way, I think people will always consider Aaron to be the record holder, and Bonds will always have an asterisk next to his name.

Any curse upon innocent people to get injury is no occasion for being happy. Now, accidents that happen to people that curse the innocent is funny! I'd like to see you get hurt so that you'll end up wearing a hockey helmet for life and waiting for short yellow school buses for your remainder of your sorry existence.
So what if you're a bandwagon jumper. We have no need in true sport fandom for retards like you. You probably live with your parents as well.....

Someone someday has to break that record. I would hate to see someone on the threshold of breaking the record become unable to do so because of an accident. I would not be happy about it. If he breaks the record, so be it. If he doesn't, that's fine, too. But if he does or doesn't it should be his own success or failure, and not be robbed of it by injury.

no! i think it takes a certain person to be able to play professional sports and take the day to day abuse of the media and people judging them everyday. did he or didnt he use the drug? who cares it still takes rare skill to hit home runs off someone throwing a ptich 90 miles and hour. i feel for him and all athletes who hound them and ask them all negative questions. the difference between hitting a homerun and hitting a foul ball is millimeters. think about that. records are meant to be broken! if its a nice guy people accept it. But person with a not so nice persona people react negatively. hes not the nicest person but maybe he has to be that way to perform. i hope this helps

No. I'd laugh at people like you when he does break it though. If you're not a baseball fan then why should it matter? Don't be so easily led by the media to hate people because it's the current bandwagon thing to do.

I actually hope he breaks it and then it comes out undeniably that he was using roids. That would force baseball to deal with it. Its ashame that shoeless joe wont get in, nor pete rose, but bonds, arod, and sosa will be shew ins.
