Don't agree. If you can't be in the top four teams in the league over 162 games, you haven't earned the chance to play for a championship. One game means nothing in baseball, and a best-of-one playoff would be a mere roll of the dice.

Besides, we don't need excuses to make the season get longer. We're already fighting snow in the North by the time the World Series arrives. Nature didn't intend baseball games to be played in Boston and Chicago in early November.

No!

If you want in the playoffs you need to earn it! They play 162 games, if a team doesn't get into the division lead or best other record they don't deserve to be in! The more teams you let in the less the regular season means! you can't shorten the regular season becasue it would ruin the statistical interest in records like hits in a season, HR in a season (not on roids! I think its still 61!) and things like that. your system would add a week to the beginning or end of the season and anyone who has seen a game in NY or Boston in late October knows it can get very cold! (Not that they mind if its a World Series game!)

No, it's long enough. Why make it like the NBA? I can't stand the NBA, crappy teams in the playoffs with .500 records. You get 162 games to prove you are the best. You're crazy man, that is too radical. Baseball is old fashioned. If we get up to 40 teams someday then lets extend the playoffs.

No need to extend the season any longer. You already have people fed up with the game for the steroids and just because they say it's boring and way too long. The current playoff system works just fine.

No, if you want half the teams in playoffs watch the NFL or NBA. I won't even ask why you have the NL matched up against the AL in your first round.

It's NOT HOCKEY. Playoffs already have 2 teams too many.

Not without shortening the regular season or bringing back scheduled double-headers and neither is about to happen.

Why extend it? Season & the playoffs are long enough as it is.
