Who denies that Gordon is the man now!!! Same with Montoya. From 32nd to victory lane!! As I've said before, the day Junior wins on a road course is the day I credit him as being a good driver. Today Montoya proved he's a better driver than Junior. Gordon has proved that numerous times over.

I never liked these guys. They say dumb stuff.
Example:
Miller was just raving about Mags Ordonez (ok he is hitting .380)
But he's saying no ones close to his production in the AL at the plate.
WHILE HE SAYS THIS theres a graphic comparing Mags to ARod.
ARod hits more HR, has more RBI, scores more runs, slugs at a higher %.
And Miller still goes on about how no one's production is close!
WHAT the?

ok I'm done venting.

does anyone else hate these guys commentary?

And has he said anything about the Kobe situation?
I know his return to coaching has a lot to do with his health but what are the odds he'll retire just to get out of the mess the Lakers are in right now?
And how has he managed to be so quiet about what's going on with Kobe? He said a couple of months ago that he was sure Kobe would stay in LA but that was the last I heard. How are he and Kobe getting along these days? Has Kobe said anything publicly about Jackson? Anybody know?

I made a challenge to a paticular person, guess that is why it got booted out. Anyway a paticular third dan in TKD was the focus of my "challenge" I was and am just not on the same page as this person, thank goodness. According to this person it is kata all the way. As well you must be trained by a "master" what ever that means. Anyway one night I got totally upset and made a challenge. Bring your belt and prove that your way is better than mine. If you lose, lay your belt at my feet. Anyway that got tossed out. I don't care if anyone agrees with me or not.
Question: Why not bring back the good old day were "masters" challenged other person if you didn't win you were not as good as that person.
This is my way to attempt to get that on.
puY.

Through today's (Sunday's) games, we find the AL East standings:

1. Boston 48-26 (.649)
3. New York 26-27 (.493)

The Yankees are 11 back, but let's play with the rest of the schedule.

If Boston maintains that .649 for its last 88 games, they'll go 57-31 (.648) for a final record of 105-57. Yow. To match that, the Yankees would have to play 69-20 (they have 89 games left) for a .775 winning percentage. Gotta say that that is not going to happen.

If Boston stumbles to a .500 record the rest of the way (44-44) and winds up 92-70 (.568), the Yankees would need to play 56-33, a .629 pace, to tie on the last day. Possible but extremely difficult.

It's not over until the magic number reaches zero, but it ain't lookin' too good in da Bronx, izzit?

Tick-tock, tick-tock,...

In today's game between the Yankees and the Giants, Mussina (NY) got the loss for getting two earned runs in 5 innings. However, the game ended 7-2. Why did he get the lose? If the relief pitchers had gotten no earned runs, it would have been a no-decision for him, and instead, because of the relief pitchers, he gets the loss. Shouldn't the loss be given to the relief pitcher who had gotten the third run scored?

Angels at home and batting bottom of 10th with a tie score. Runners at 1st and 2nd, the runner on 2nd being the potential winning run. Batter Aybar hits it to RF which bounces over the fence for a would be "ground rule" automatically sending the winning run home. After Aybar touches 1st base he turns around and heads to the dugout for the celebration. TV announcer says that because Aybar didn't make it to 2nd that he will be credited with a single.
Question- Is this typical for a walk off "ground rule double" to be scored a single, or if Aybar continued to run to 2nd it would have been scored a double?

Ever watch a Red Sox game when they're playing on the road? A couple of weeks ago they were in Phoenix playing against the Diamondbacks, and I swear that the Red Sox fans in attendance at Chase Field outnumbered D-backs fans by 2 to 1. Even some of the D-back players were complaining about this to the media.

Today they were playing against the Padres in San Diego and it looks as though there were slightly more Red Sox fans than Padres fans.

The Red Sox (pound for pound) have a higher percentage of fan support during road games than any other ballclub...is there something magical about this team that endears them to the common American?

*** Answers from Yankees fans absolutely not accepted
*** Answers from Mets fans are okay, but strongly discouraged.
