After this weekend, baseball has actually caught my attention for the first time in 15 years. Two great teams that I would love to see meet again.

Quite possibly, and if they do, it will be a great series. That ball park in San Diego is mammoth!! Both teams have good pitching, BUT the Red Sox have BY FAR the better hitting lineup. Not even one of the Padres is batting 300 or over. Several of the Red Sox are.

Chow!!

GO PADRES!!!!!!!!!

I think it WILL be these 2 teams! Even though the Red Sox have AN AMAZING record, stats on both sides of the ball (pitching and hitting), just remember, the Red Sox are in a division that is TERRIBLE right now, as no other team is above .500 in that division, so the Red Sox are NOT as good as their record states, but they are good.

I was REALLY hoping that the Series last year would have been between the Tigers and the Padres! I still want some payback for '84 when the Tigers beat the Pad's in the Series! If the Tigers make it this year, I hope we'll beat 'em!

It does look more and more that the Red Sox will be our competitors in the World Series, but you never know. Heck, the Red Sox are probably getting "too comfortable" in the sad AL East, and when they make the playoffs, they might get beaten by the Tigers.

Either way, the Padres will be this year's NL Champions! And hopefully 2007 WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!

Go Padres and Chargers!

No. The Padres are a decent team, but they rely too much on the overrated Trevor Hoffman. Closers are HUGE during the offseason, and when Hoffman made his first and only appearance in game three of the 1998 series, he choked and gave up a three-run shot to Scott Brosius. He doesn't have the guts, and without him, the Padres have no chance.

They could...but I think the Mets are still going to the Series but the Padres are starting to change my mind...I am convinced the Red Sox will be there!

Red Sox will be there and the Padres have to hold up their part of the bargain

I hope you enjoy West coast ball because it will be the Padres and Angels, if the Padres can beat off them Tigers.

no doubt in my mind that the tigers will be in the world series. they have the best catcher in the majors. ivan "pudge" rodriguez is cimply amazing. well my favorite atleast. but the red sox do have a very good chance as well.

Yes, and as a Padres fan, I'm scared. That's a nasty team they've got there and I now know how Yankee fans feel.
