In the movie "The Scout", Brendan Fraiser's character who pitches for the Yankees, hits a home run in game one of the World Series which is played in Yankee stadium. Now, because of the DH rule, pitchers would have a designated hitter bat in their place. My question is, if an American League pitcher was a good enough batter, could a manager forgoe the DH rule, and allow that pitcher to hit?

The way I see it is the guy made some really messed up decisions and paid for it in the most severe way...but I have a hard time feeling bad for him....I guess the way I look at it, he is lucky he did not kill anyone else...

it is true they both are jerks of the field. But on the Field Ty Cobb played hard, and what he was naturaly played what he thought was the right way. while barry bonds cheated the game by artificialy making himself a great home run hitter.

They're getting bounded on the rebounds (60-32 in game 2) and why don't they put biedrins and harrington upfront?

Then they have a decent inside game going and they'll be good enough to defend boozer/okur and score 2

J rich can match up with AK -47 and they can bring jackson (who is struggling) off the bench.

They could put Baron on Fisher and ease the defensive pressure on him and put monta ellis against deron williams...he'll drive it to the basket like crazy and put deron williams in foul trouble

Matt barnes could be the guy comin off the bench for the guard spot and the ycould move baron to the point.

its a versatile team that could play half court too and some defense too like they did with the mavs.

Unless they change into something like this that involves some kind of power game, they're not gonna advance.

Their running game isn't as sharp anymore and they're runnin outta gas.

I am 6'0 tall and I have 43 inch legs. I can run a 40 yard dash in 4.49 seconds but on the basketball court I am not quick. I am faster in a straight line but in terms of basketball my footspeed is not faster than them.My man to man defense is not good when I play quicker guards. I know Barry Sanders was quick because he had a low center of gravity with his short legs. Is it my Long legs that is slowing me down on the basketball court?

So both screwed up and look like idiots. Pacman goes to a strip club, the day before he meets the commisioner about an incident at the strip club! Many people dislike Barry Bonds for supposedly using steroids, however nobody has proven anything. According to a poll:

This is what I see. Whites used to lead the MLB, because there where not Blacks of Latins at the beginning playing on the MLB. Now, 2 blacks are leading the 700 mark, while 2 Latinos, are already on the the way there, Alex Rodriguez, and last but not least Alberto Pujols. Alex Rodriguez is the youngest to be in his Home Runs number, and Pujols too. This means that at least 2 blacks and one Latino will lead the MLB home run. Hank, Barry, Alex and probably Pujols.

Mark McGwire has not been attacked by the media as have been Bonds and Sosa.

i personally think kennedy is a lot better than santino marella. marella won the title because of bobby lashley, he didn't win it on his own. I personally hate Umaga but when he was wrestling Marella, Umaga should have killed him! Santino is a pathetic weak person who can't wrestle, and only gained fame because of bobby lashely. Santino will never be as good as kennedy. Mr. Kennedy should have won that title not santino marella a.k.a. LOSER!!!!

I am a good QB from what my friend and others have said about my throwing and arm strength and accuracy. i want to go play in college but i dont know what to do because i didnt play in hs because my grades were more important to me.

since i know how to run an offense and can find the open reciever and can figure the defensive rush what should i do to convince a college coach that i might be good for his team since i havent learnd any playbook yet and dont really know how to memorize a playbook.

No offense to Calvin who I hear is quite good but the Lions had much bigger needs then reciever. I would have loved them to take Brady Quinn or even Joe Thomas but not Johnson. Matt Millen needs to be fired.
