seriously i love nascar but all of my friends can't stand it should i give it up so my friends and i have mor in commen?

Do they give up stuff just b/c YOU don't like it? No offense, but that's kinda dumb. Who cares if they don't like it, YOU DO, so like what you want to like. No NASCAR isn't lame, i've been a fan since I was born lol. Some people say its not a sport and they aren't athletes but i say they are ignorant and should get the facts before they make a statement like that b/c they know nothing about NASCAR or what the drivers go thru to keep in shape or what it takes to stay in those cars unable to move in the heat for over 4 hours and actually be able to control your care, compete, everything.

I understand how you feel, I live in Texas where everything is all about the Dallas Cowboys or the San Antonio Spurs. My husband and I are the only ones in my family who love NASCAR but I think it's because they don't understand the point system, the pit strategies, the rivalries...to them it's just cars going round and round a track. It's funny because out of morbid curiosity they're starting to learn more than they thought they'd care to about racing because of me. The other day my niece asked me, "Auntie, like why do you like NASCAR, isn't it like boring?" That gave me the opportunity to give her a nice little NASCAR 101 class. LOL she's all the better for it I'm sure!

Absolutely it is lame. Why is it that the mdia covers this "sport" so much ? I'm tired of hearing About Dale Jr. on ESPN and in the newspaper. Nascar is the WWE of motorsports, its a joke, the races are a high speed bumper car series with wrestling like story lines. And the fans are the lowest class fans of all the motorsports in the world and of all of the sports in the usa.
Give it up. Watch REAL racing like Indy Cars , Formula 1, and Sports Cars.

Let me guess. You are in grade school and you still go to the bathroom in groups. Who cares if your friends don't like. Do you spend EVERY minute with your friends? It's only 4 hours out of the week. Your friends will survive if they don't get to hang out for a little bit on Sunday afternoons. And what kind of friends are they if they don't want you to watch it? Who are you living your life for? Giving it up won't make you have more in common, if you actually thought it was lame, then you would have it in common. Sorry, but you have caught the Nascar bug.

If you love it, I say keep watching it. The sport isnt for everyone. There are alot of people that love soccer, I have friends that love soccer, I hate soccer, they think I'm stupid for watching Nascar, but at the end of the day, we have plenty in common and we all get along great. My point is, your friendship with people shouldnt be based off of what sports your friends like and dont like. Enjoy the things you do have in common and let everything else fall into place.

Your friends are not real friends. I have a lot of friends that don't like sports but I'm not going to stop watching them just because they don't like them . NASCAR is not a lame sport!!!!!!!!!

I have no theory. soccer is definitely certainly one of the main pointless activities interior the international, and tennis is purely flat out uninteresting. Baseball honestly takes intelligence, and each and all the flaws you indexed, including aggression and actual skills, and it is the reason i think of it is the proper sport. I additionally think of golf is a sport, inspite of that it is uninteresting to observe. It takes intelligence, making plans, and endurance, so it is extremely in basic terms a distinctive form of sport from something. yet I thoroughly believe you that soccer and tennis are 2 of the main idiotic activities ever invented.

Why would you give up something you Love Just because your Friends don't like it? No If they are your Friends they should understand that we all like different things that's what makes us who we are.
